Current mood: complacent

Oh dear Heavens!

I-

I don't even know where to start.

I am at the Manor right now. Lucius, the poor darling, is all laid up in his chambers. He escaped the duel with a broken arm, a broken ankle, a most ghastly black eye, and several bruises up and down his body. I cannot tell as he is now trying to sleep but it appears that he recovered from his grievous phsyical malady of earlier this week quite well. By this I am refering to his luxurious hair. He informed me a few days ago that he had to have nearly four inches taken off the bottom of his silken tresses on account of said malady!

According to the house elves I have spoken to, my handsome husband was out for quite some time, having overexerted himself as he crawled all the way to his chambers from the Japanese garden on the southwest side of the outdoor Manor ampitheatre just past the paddock with the giant spiders. Apparently, according to Mitzi, one of the more reliable house elves, he summoned a phial of the painkiller for my dreadful cramps that Severus concocted and downed it to dull his pain. The darling.

He was awake when I apparated into the Manor and was most pleased to see me. Granted, his smile and eyes were rather a bit on the, shall I say, dopey side. No matter. I found it to be incredibly endearing and so very sweet.

Lucius can be terribly romantic when he wants to be. Why, even while letharic on estrogen-driven pain killers he takes my breath away!

He told me how much he missed me and how the Manor was simply empty without me. Whilst I was busy swooning over that, my little crippled Cassanova attempted to conjure me up a bouqet of white petalled, red-tipped roses! He's ill, mind, but I thought the resulting bundle of lemongrass just as perfect as could be. . .and then my husband gave me the sweetest, most delicate and precious kiss he had in-

Well, let us just leave it as 'it was wonderful'.

I offered to stay in the Manor for the next few days until he is all healed. I shall be staying in his chambers with him. There will be a mediwizard coming by tomorrow afternoon to set his arm.

I shall be sending out an owl to find out where Remus is and how he is doing. I am still very worried about him.

One of the house elves told me that they saw Draco leave the Manor sometime before the dreadful duel began on an old broom. He was supposed to stay here until this morning as he arrived yesterday morning for a meeting with his father and myself to explain his earlier actions. I shall have to send an owl to see how he is doing as well.

Oh how precious my husband looks all asleep and curled up under the duvets.
