Draco,

Do you really wish for me to see you at the Manor during your holiday? I had thought otherwise.

I am in Switzerland.

Of course, Mother. I haven't the vaguest idea what you're talking about, but I assure you I'd prefer it if you picked me up at King's Cross.

Draco,

You haven't any idea at all? The fact that you did not respond to my owl post and had blocked me from commenting to your journal would indicate to me that you did not wish to associate with me.

Mother, you know I've been busy with Quidditch and a dually smashed kneecap. As for blocking you from comments, I'd meant to add you to my list of special commenting privileges. I didn't realise the mistake until recently.

Draco,

I know you have been both busy and preoccupied as of late but so have I. Your Grandmother passed on and there was that other nonsense as well and yet I had time to send you post. The next time you feel you are too busy to write your mother a proper post, at the very least spare a moment to jot down a mere line or two to calm my nerves. I gave you life. The very least you can do in return is owl me once in a while.

Mother, I apologise if I was unable to hold a quill while my kneecap was being broken by medical professionals. That was rather thoughtless of me.

Re:

Draco,

There is no need to be snide. Your father provided you with a top mediwizard. I sincerely hope he was not breaking your kneecaps.

Mother

P.S. Did he?

No, actually, Mr Avery was busy removing the unicorn hair from my knee, which knocked the kneecap back out of place.

Draco,

Your kneecaps looked to be in place on Saturday if I recall correctly. I do hope they were set correctly as one cannot find fashionable trousers with askew kneecaps. Do they look to be in the proper spot? Are you feeling well? Do you need anything? Dragonhide gloves? Biscuits? A peacock feather quill? Anything?

Concerned,
Mother
