I am in such a state of duress right now that I cannot discern what is up and what is down. Dacey, whom recently returned to the Manor after staying with the Changs whilst she recovered from her grievous injury, keeps asking me what she can do to calm my nerves but I've no inclanation what that might be! She has taken to bringing me a trayful of martinis but I haven't touched even one. My hands are shaking and my stomach is twisting into a knot and I fear I may pass out at any moment.
When people expire it is always quite sad but particularly so when you knew them personally. For Minerva's sake, I had just visited Kiki Leavenshire this morning! I had even been speaking of her over firechat with a business associate who was interested in Kiki's current state of affairs! Kiki was a dear, albeit occassionally a bit unrefined, woman and Lucius and I so did enjoy attending teas in her home in the company of her husband Calemund (a long-time associate of my Lucius).
I think I may need to consume a calming potion and a sleeping draught. Severus, would you be so kind as to owl me with a sleeping draught? You do brew the most effective ones, after all.

Duly owled, Narcissa. I hope it is of some assistance. These are troubled times, after all, and one should take peace where one can find it.
I fully appreciate how distressed you are over Mrs. Leavenshire's demise, of course. Death is always such an upsetting and inexplicable thing.
