Current mood: cheerful

The Manor has been so quiet as of late. My Lucius has been extremely busy these past few weeks, Apparating here and there on business. He returns to the Manor for an evening or two and then is immediately off once again. I shan't complain too terribly, however, as he is always sure to bring me treasures back from his travels in addition to the most curious artifacts and magical items. Just yesterday he returned from New Orleans and gifted me with the most exquisite Mardi Gras masques (oh, if only those Muggles knew the real story behind Mardi Gras!) and a box of freshly made beignets. I, of course, could only manage a few tiny bites from one before I became full. Oh, that beignet reminded me of my childhood in Cannes. Mother would have Antoinette serve them to us at tea and I always looked forward to them so. I think I should like to learn how to prepare them on my own. Perhaps later I will have Dacey make arrangements for me to work about in the kitchens.

Lucius will be leaving once again this afternoon on business and I shall be as well. I have much to tend to but shall find the time to sup with Avianca Travers this evening. She is a lovely woman and we have much in common. Certainly this evening's conversation will be enlightening and well as enjoyable. In addition to several of our commerical interests, we shall be discussing the new Diana Prevaleça book, Power and Poise - Attractively Alluring, as Avianca has just finished reading it not two days earlier and is quite eager to discuss it. I am more than happy to do so as I feel a strong connection to both Diana and her words.

Draco, darling, please let me know of your plans for Easter hols as they are fast approaching. Also, I am expecting an owl from you in regards to your requirements for your birthday affair.

Remus, congratulations on Wherebooks. I have heard nothing but exceedingly good things about it and I intend on visiting it (and you) shortly.

Mother? Have you received my owl?

No, darling, I have not. Has your owl returned to you yet?
