Current mood: annoyed

Deception?
I suspect that the rather spectacular tryst my darling husband and I had the previous evening was to perhaps distract me from an impending problem at hand. Now, mind, I am not quite certain that I overheard the following information correctly. However, if I did indeed eavesdrop and heard everything as crystal-clear as my best Romanian crystal, there is going to be War at the Malfoy Manor.

You see, I could have swore to the muse of Giorgio Armagi that I accidentally heard Lucius planning a dinner party with some fellow 'associates.' 'Associates' meaning the usual gang of drivel - MacNair, Avery, and the like. I simply loathe said dinner parties more than Off the Rack! The fact that I have to play the part of the dutiful wife and hostess wearing a smile that will surely speed up a very unwanted wrinkling process on my face rather infuriates me. If these men were worthy of my time and effort, perhaps I would not be so bitter. Alas, these men are idiotic oiks who couldn't distinguish between a standard margarita and a Top Shelf one. Pathetic, really.

I would type more, but I must go! I think I hear my darling husband coming this way-

My darling wife,

I do so appreciate the way you have handled the rather unfortunate situations in which I have found myself lately. I never know when I will be called upon to perform my duty to my Lord, and have found that, when he requires a dinner party, it is best not to question his motives. Boorish though some of my colleages may be, you would do well to remember that they are partially responsible for the manner in which we live.

Will you be attending the fall showings in Paris? Do keep me apprised.

Your loving husband

My charming husband,

I do realize that the actions of some of your colleages have indeed been partially responsible for 'the manner in which we live.' However, I still stand by my convictions that the certain associates I named above are quite the lot of oiks. Never fear, dear. I will, as always, be perfectly polite and amiable to all, whether or not they truly are deserving of my charm.

Yes, I will be attending a few of the fall showings. Do you wish to accompany me to Paris in the coming weeks? You really do need to have a holiday, luv.

Your loving wife
