I must say, the past few weeks Lucius and I have been getting along quite well. After that horrid dinner party, I do admit that I might have been a bit unbearable for a time, but no longer. We have been frequenting one another's bed chambers on a regular basis, something that is quite out of the ordinary at the Manor. (Not, of course, that I am complaining about this increase in nocturnal activity between my darling husband and myself. Lucius is quite the entertainer between the sheets,you know.) We have also taken to giving one another silly little lover's gifts. My, by the way we two are carrying on, one would think we were our brilliant son's age!
The past week the Manor has simply been bustling with activity. There is, after all, much to be done in preparation for our ever-nearing Hallowe'en Gala. Besides organizing the ordering of the various liquores, food, and decorum, I must pop about to Paris and Roma in hopes of commissioning a fabulous costumed garment to wear. One cannot host such an event and appear anything less than stellar, after all.
There is quite a bit of commotion in the entryway. I must go investigate, as I do hope that the lot of flower faeries I ordered for the Gala have arrived!

Have you taken care of our costumes? I haven't heard from the tailor and am becoming concerned.

Lucius,
I am pleased to report that I spoke to your tailor and he informed me that your costume shall be completed this afternoon. He shall send a parcel to the Manor later today.
