Current mood: nostalgic

Lucius still has not answered me as to when exactly we shall be leaving for Paris. As of yet I have not received the book that Remus had promised me, either. I do hope that he hasn't forgotten and has sent that along. Although I am leary about performing such charms on myself and Lucius has promised to take me to Paris to fix my horrid hairstyle, I am curiously intrigued by the notion that I might actually be able to do something for myself without having another person or house elf do it for me.

To pass the time while I await both owl post and word from two of the most important men in my life (the Little Dragon aside, of course), I have been going through old Malfoy photo albums.

This image always makes me incredibly nostalgic. I can only hope that Remus and Sirius are as happy on their wedding day as Lucius and I were.

Oh, this is the most darling painting that I ever commissioned. Draco used to play so marvelously. I do miss hearing him play.

I believe this was taken during a summer holiday to visit Mother in Cannes. The brightness of his smile reminds me of my own charming smile.

Mrs Malfoy,

I did in fact owl you that book. This is rather disquieting, as I was fond of both the book and the owl. Hmm.

All right, I have placed an order with Hexagon.com to have the book delivered to you straight from the publisher. Perhaps that will have more success than poor Squamous (the AWOL owl).

Keep me posted.

Remus,

You have? I was growing quite concerned when the owl did not arrive as you had promised as I know you are a man of your word. I should have known that something went wrong with the delivery. Thank you ever so much for all the trouble you are going through on my behalf. If Squamous does indeed make an appearance at Malfoy Manor I shall alert you posthaste.

My love,

I have arranged a Portkey for nine o'clock Monday morning. Will that be sufficient? While we're in Paris, perhaps we could enjoy lunch at that lovely little bistro we found on our honeymoon.

Your loving husband

My dearest Lucius,

Could you possibly arrange for that time to be moved to 10 o'clock? I do fear that might be a bit early for me otherwise. We can certainly seek out that bistro. It was ever so delightful from what I can recall.

Your loving wife

Re:

As you wish, my beloved. I do think we should take a stroll around Versailles, as well. I've been thinking of redecorating and I'm sure we can get ideas there.

Versailles is particularly lovely this time of year. Redecorating? Which rooms were you thinking of changing?

Mother, I learned 'Chopsticks' and then plucked out all the piano wires. I loathe the piano. I don't even like music.

Draco.

My sweetest boy,

I thought you were wondeful nonetheless.

Love,
