"You have an untrustworthy smile and an insidious nature."
I can't believe it! Cho won first place for her lantern, and I won third for mine! Well, I can believe that Cho won - I can't believe I placed at all. Millicent Bulstrode placed second with a really creative lantern; it was really life-like and kept vomiting slime everywhere. Theirs are a lot better than mine. I am very shocked that I placed third, especially because there were lanterns by students like Dean Thomas, who is a great artist!

That and some other things made the Festival brilliant, for the most part. First, it was a beautiful evening. The weather was perfect for being outside by the lake, breezy and nice. Candles were lit and put in lotuses and set afloat in the lake, so it was like the lake was a glowing, starry deep blue sky. Lots of people were wading out in the water. I'm glad I wore my hair up, because with the bonfire, it was pretty warm. When it came time, we all marched our lanterns around the lake. Soblessa and I were behind Harry, Hermione, and Ron - speaking of Ron, his lantern caught on fire! So did a few other lanterns. Good thing so many people who were quick with their wands were around. :)

After we marched with our lanterns, Ron, Hermione, Harry, and I all found my family - it was so cool to have Bill and Charlie both here! Percy wasn't kidding when he said Bill had gotten another piercing. It was very cool. Soblessa thought so too; in fact, I think she thought he was quite handsome. Too bad you're dating Taylor, Blessa. You could be my sister-in-law. Charlie looked a bit scalded on his cheek, but he said it didn't hurt too badly. Mum was so chuffed about Ron and Hermione... but I think she's grateful I'm not dating. One last baby to cling to, I reckon. She held my hand in public till I was twelve and asked her to stop. Dad wanted to talk to Harry, as usual; he always has lots of questions for him. Percy was there as well, with his girlfriend Penelope Clearwater, who always remembers me and says a big hello that makes me blush. They were sweethearts in school. She is lovely, and I'm very sorry I interrupted them again. The twins, who were there laden with their products (which I only partly got to see because Ron covered my eyes when they shot off their obscenity fireworks), seemed to be glad that Percy was too preoccupied with Penelope to relate any interesting information about the Festival, lanterns, mooncakes, lotus flowers, et cetera.

After Soblessa's boyfriend Taylor came to talk to her (I think he was jealous of the way she was joking with Bill), I said good-bye and wandered around with Charlie until he stopped to talk to Professor Flitwick and I saw Cho over with a group of her Ravenclaw friends, and went to say hello. Her lantern was just gorgeous; she really deserved to win. We only got to talk for a little bit before it was time to pass out the mooncakes. I know the mooncakes are supposed to be for fun, but I figured since we didn't have to sign them, I would write something worthwhile. The mooncake I got was not as worthwhile.

"You have an untrustworthy smile and an insidious nature."

I don't think I'm untrustworthy! What does "insidious" mean? I don't think this was meant for me. At least, I hope it wasn't. But I don't think anybody got the proper cakes, and hardly anybody wrote proper messages. If I had known my message would have ended up going to the wrong person, I wouldn't have written it!

Ms. Weasley, dear, perhaps the note was a suggestion that you do something about your teeth. After all, I know not all students can afford wizi-dentists, but we do have Madam Pomfrey, after all.

Oh no! I hadn't any idea people thought this of me. I'll go see Madam Pomfrey as soon as I can, Professor!

Professor, are you teasing Ginny?
Don't listen to her, Ginny. Your teeth are fine, and I think you have a lovely smile.
