I did my first Quidditch match! Gryffindor versus Ravenclaw so it was really exciting with Potter and all.
Cormorant Jones is the new Ravenclaw Seeker if you didn't know, he's that weird thin kid with the red glasses and he's all right so far, nothing great but not really poor either. He did pretty good for a third year and it's only just his first game anyway so I wouldn't count him out just yet! he didn't fall for the Wronski Feint that Potter tried anyway so I guess you can't really call it a Wronski Feint. Oh well, good try anyway, Potter. Mullarkey seems to be doing weird stuff as a captain. Ravenclaw's style is totally different than last term but then I guess it's because Cho Chang was the captain and we all know she was losing interest. Sorry Chang, but it's true.
more importantly, the Bats played the Cannons last week and they completely slaughtered them!!! GO BATS GO! Plunkett is the best Seeker in the world!! Okay maybe not the best. The Bats really have stronger Beaters than they do a Seeker if I'm going to be fair, which I always am anyway, or else my name's not Ernie Macmillan. Corcoran and Rafferty, the best set of Beaters on this side of Antarctica! They took the Cannons' Seeker out of the game about ten minutes in. Pickle was Cadwallader's replacement and all so the pressure was on him to not be an idiot like Cadwallader, but of course Pickle wasn't a great Seeker and they took him out of the game AND he's out for the season! The Cannons need a new Seeker, AGAIN! GO BATS!!
Tomorrow is Hallowe'en and we get out of lessons at lunch so me and Hannah are going to study for our N.E.W.T.s a bit. You can never be too prepared these days. My costume is all set though, and it's going to be really wicked. Hannah's going with me to the ball of course. See you at the ball!

That was really more than I cared to know about your socks, Macmillan. If you've stolen Finch-Fletchley's, I don't see why I should believe you wouldn't steal mine as well. After all, mine aren't threadbare as his likely are.
