First off I don't see how we're supposed to get anything done or any sleep or anything with people marching around in and out our common room just to take a look. I mean I went over to the other houses to see their common rooms to see if they were getting better rooms than us but I wasn't making so much noise. It's like a rally going on!
Slytherin definitely doesn't have it better than us. It's colder down there! And they don't even have a common room that tries to look like it's anything but underground. Most of their furniture is black! I went last night so the house-elfs hadn't cleaned yet and you could see all the cat hair and hair from people's heads on the furniture because it was black which was kind of weird. Then their dormitories must be down another level after that because the only stairs went down but I didn't go down any of them.
Gryffindor's common room is all the way up on the seventh floor I think which is pretty far. Hermione Granger's cat went with me there and I had to stay for awhile so he and Granger could catch up or whatever.
I think I like Ravenclaw's next best after Hufflepuff, the colours are nice and it's kind of cosy. Gryffindor's is too but it looks really violent or something with all that red and gold and the fire.
Today we had a lesson with Professor McGonagall and Professor Vector which was sort of boring mostly, and I'm not going to lie. We listened to a bunch of history about the houses and the founders and then the SORTING HAT taught us for awhile. I think a bunch of this was his idea with Dumbledore, he seemed way too proud of it. That figures. He kept singing songs about houses and then we had to put on the hat and see if we would still get sorted to the same house. I'm still Hufflepuff of course!
Hermione Granger and I actually talked for awhile about revision and stuff. I suppose she has some pretty good methods but I'm sure she thought mine were good also. Now I've got to try to write a poem.

Hufflepuff's commonroom looks like a beehive! I heard buzzing, explain that!

Oh right, they've been a bit off since uh well you know.

Are you embarrassed about having your ears turned to fruit, Weasley? That surely can't be true.

I'd like to see Hufflepuff, I've heard it's very warm and comfortable. Also, I was wondering if you'd sit for your portrait, or if you'd rather have me just do a stick figure with a yellow and black scarf.

I'm a bit heavier than a stick figure I reckon so I'll sit. That's weird, man. I've never done that before. You can come have a look at Hufflepuff and do it now if you want.

Well, I might as well, since I've no homework or anything. And I've never really drawn anything outside of Astronomy and Care of Magical Creatures, so you may end up looking like a stick figure anyway! I shall call it artistic licence.
