Well, I would say Merry Christmas, but I'm not in the mood for Christmas, so it's not particularly merry.

It's quiet around here: my first Christmas here at Hogwarts and I would find it relaxing except for the nervous tension that has resided like an awful pit in my mind.

But I'm not going to elude to any of that.

I actually spent most of yesterday skiing -- last years present from Uncle Pat coming in handy to clear out the cobwebs. I had a short talk to Professor Dumbledore in the evening over a game of chess in the Great Hall, which also helped. We didn't talk about anything in particular, just talked -- but for some strange reason it seemed to do me the world of good, despite never being able to get a straight answer out of him.

Christmas lunch is over and done with now, and I'm heading off to have a little snooze.

It's still too quiet here.
