I got back to the house from searching, only to find that Harry had replied to Remus' post. Then I saw that all his things are gone from his room. Clothes, books, everything. Even the furniture. He must have been there while I was gone.
Well, at least I know he is safe.
I had told Remus about the note Harry had left. It was evasive and led me to believe he'd gone to Remus'. That was deliberate, no doubt.
That's it, then. I'm going back to my rooms at Hogwarts. It's Remus' house, after all, and there's nothing left for me here.
There's nothing left anywhere.

I am truly sorry, Professor Black, for all that has happened in the past few weeks. I suppose it would not be a help if I told you to simply focus on the fact that he is, indeed, safe; however, I would like to advise you that you not lose hope. It is only then that you have lost everything.
