After I wrote last, Milicent and I sat down for a long talk. We were quite concerned over dear Draco, who has seemed - shall we say - less than content the past week or so. Of course, the two of us would do anything to heighten the spirits in the Slytherin house again. And amidst our discussion, we couldn't help but notice that Draco's happiness has dropped quite dramatically since his association with dear Sally-Anne.

As I've said, Sally-Anne is a perfectly nice girl. I've often found her presence rather enjoyable. However, I have never been close friends with her. We are housemates more than chums, really, and I admit there are many things I don't know about her. Not that I want to imply that these are in any way bad things. However, as I was saying, Draco has spent quite a lot of time with her recently and it certainly hasn't improved his mood as far as I can tell. Not that such a thing would be her fault as Draco can be terribly difficult to cheer up when he wants to be.

Yet imagine my surprise when I came into the dormitory this evening to find Sally-Anne packing her things. She was in utter hysterics, sobbing and muttering things that no one could quite make out, but truthfully, I've never seen a girl quite so broken down before. I couldn't get anything coherent out of her but Queenie Greengrass and Tracey Davis were a little more helpful.

They told me that Sally-Anne is transferring to Durmstrang. She'd contacted her father and begged to change schools, and he'd finally relented. They asked me if I knew anything about what happened, and I told them quite plainly. Sally-Anne had seemed perfectly fine earlier that evening when I found her in the hallway alone. Tracey wanted to know what we talked about and I told her that too. We had discussed Draco and a few other things, and that I was sure she and Queenie knew quite well the sort of thing I'd said. Well obviously they knew after that there was nothing more to tell.

I gave Sally-Anne a hug and told her I'd help her pack, but she only got more upset at the thought of leaving. Honestly, I would have liked to throw together a quick farewell party before she left. But the poor dear was in such a hurry. She has already had her father pick her up. I do hope she likes Durmstrang, as I personally know foreign schools can be quite gruesome at times.

Well, I suppose that is all for now. I would head straight to bed but Millicent said she had a few things to do before bed, and I promised to wait up for her.
