An Unexpected Occurance
I had quite the disconcerting feeling this morning that I was being watched as I went down to breakfast. While I saw Crabbe and Goyle sitting in their usual places, Millicent and Draco were no where to be found. I was rather distressed about all of this when I suddenly saw a great cake coming toward the Slytherin table.
Oh dear, I don't think I can write this out properly at all! My hands are still shaking slightly and I am simply gushing over all that has happened. I have the most wonderful boyfriend and the most amazing best friend, and today is turning out to be be one of the absolutely most delightful birthdays ever! Oh those two darlings!
Millicent and Draco had made me the most beautiful birthday cake - with balloons and such thick, exquisite, green icing - and they burst out of it to surprise me over breakfast. Oh, I was in such a state of shock at first, I couldn't even speak, but then Draco handed me a birthday card, and all I could do was cry. I was so happy. I gave them hugs straight away. I'm sure mother would have scolded me for getting my robes dirty but oh, I don't care. I don't care! Those two are the most wonderful and thoughtful and lovely friends a girl could ever have.
Only I'm afraid I must go now as I keep getting my keyboard wet, and I simply don't think that is too good for a computer.

I know.
I have been carrying Draco on my shoulders the whole day.
I am beginning to want me as my best friend.

Poor darling! Do your shoulders ache? Do you need a back rub?
(parent) petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 10:44 am UTC Re: |
In that case, I must accept.
I am polite like that.

Would you like your feet rubbed as well? I have scented oils for such things.
(parent) petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 10:51 am UTC Re: |
No.
I have ticklish feet.
Shoulders.
I feel Draco is having way too much fun with the back rides.

Shoulders it shall be, darling.
Perhaps we should think of buying Draco a horse, or find him something or someone else pleasant to ride.
petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 10:56 am UTC Re: |
No horse.
Your birthday present will be on his way.

A horse would be awfully messy.
Millicent, you are such a darling! But I have already said that I suppose.
petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 11:07 am UTC Re: |
Well, he is rather cheap, I must admit.
Do enjoy.

petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 11:11 am UTC Re: |
I would.
But I have a Draco permanently attached to my back.
And he has started directing traffic from up there.

Do you think he shall be removeable as I do believe it would be quite hard to give you a shoulder massage otherwise!
(parent) petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 11:14 am UTC Re: |
He will have to sleep at some point.
Unless he plans on sleeping on my shoulders.
In that case, I will dump him in the lake.

I have nothing against the Giant Squid bathing him.

la_pensee @ 2003-06-11 11:22 am UTC |
No, perhaps not, though I suspect Draco might and perhaps, the rest of the Slytherin house too when he comes out smelling like seafood.
(parent) petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 11:25 am UTC Re: |
Perhaps.
And now I have to go.
He is threatening to braid my hair if I do not.
I think we should return him to the pet store.

I shall find the two of you later then, and thank you properly for the present.

Draco has another present for you.
Mine should be with you anytime now.

You're the one who refused to carry my crutches inside the cake. How else did you want me to get to lessons all day?
(parent) petitemillicent @ 2003-06-11 12:10 pm UTC Re: |
I did not want the crutches to get sticky.
M. B.
potterstinks @ 2003-06-11 12:25 pm UTC |
Well, there simply wasn't room for both of us to stand inside the cake, so Millicent had to carry me on her shoulders. Since there wasn't room for my crutches, clearly the only way to get me to lessons was for me to ride on Millicent's back. She doesn't have to be so violent about it.
(parent)la_pensee @ 2003-06-11 12:36 pm UTC |
Poor darling. Of course, I understand. It would after all make no sense for you to carry her with all your injuries.
(parent)potterstinks @ 2003-06-11 12:51 pm UTC |
Oh, naturally if not for my injuries I of course would have been a gentleman and carried Millicent myself. The hernia would have been no matter.
