A Lovely Picnic
The week has been going quite splendidly. Last Friday I had the pleasure of having an alfresco lunch with Mr. Weasley. While the weather was not as fine as the forecast predicted (unsurprisingly), the company was delightful as ever. Mr. Weasley is always such a treat to be around and I can think of few other people who are quite as entertaining and charming as he is. (Although Draco-darling is most certainly counted among those few people). We dined on such simplicities as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but also the more fancy finger foods. I found my desire for both an enticing meal and stimulating conversation quite satiated. While Mr. Weasley did not quite succeed in convincing me that with the love of a family one could do without ambition, I did find that my opinion had changed. I do believe now that Mr. Weasley does have ambition, if only to be a success within his own family. Though such an ambition may seem trivial compared to some aspirations, such as a prominent career in the Ministry of Magic, I cannot help but admire him for that. Aside from our discussions, I did my best to relieve any stress-induced tension that afflicts Mr. Weasley, both in body and spirit. I do worry for him on occasion because of the situation of his department. However, Mr. Weasley keeps in high spirits, and perhaps that is one of the reasons he is so amicable. I do look forward to seeing him again.

In other good news, my father came home on Saturday! Although I have been home for several weeks now, I had not seen my father because he had been away on business. It seems he is quite often away and that is sometimes the only reason I can forgive my mother's behaviour because she certainly must get lonely in his absence. Last night, we had quite a feast of good food, such an assortment of courses I could not possibly list them all. Father also brought both my mother and me silk scarves from China and dress robes from Italy. Yesterday, Father was supposed to take me to the London Musicianless Symphony as well but he had to cancel because he received an urgent notice from his work. He doesn't think he'll be able to reschedule any time this week, but he promises that once business lets up a bit, he shall take me wherever I would like to go. He promises.

I suppose I shall be off to bed soon, particularly since I must be up early tomorrow. It is quite a funny thing, however. One would not think my feet would get cold in the summer, and yet, they are. I suppose I have never been said to have good circulation, but I do think I have been spoiled this past year and am merely used to having Millicent keep them warm far me. I do miss her terribly, and my darling Draco too, now that I am home, though I did talk to Millicent by fire over the weekend. I don't think she is particularly pleased to be at home. Perhaps next time we speak I will ask Millicent if she would like me to try to convince her mother to let her stay at my house for a few weeks, or at the very least, the three of us (Draco, Millicent, and I) could meet for tea.

'fraid I can't speak to you outside the workplace from now on, Miss Parkinson. It's been a delight to get to you know, as little as I did, but if I'm to be a success within my family, I need to find my wife. She may be stubborn but she's number one on my list and you don't appear to be anywhere near the top of hers. Not much I can do to remedy that.

Again, a pleasure, and I hope to tip my hat to you while passing the front desk every morning.

Sincerely,

Arthur Weasley.

Oh, Mr. Weasley...

What a horrid situation. But we must all do what we must to get what we want. If there is anything that I could do to aide you in this unfortunate turn of events, please do not hesitate to call upon me. I shall look forward to your hat tipping, sir, if it is the only chance that I shall get to see you in the future.

Oh, darling, seeing you this weekend would be absolutely delightful. I do think I need to get away from my house and go to someplace other than work.
