I had a rather lovely holiday, but I must admit it is nice to return to the familiar routine of attending Hogwarts. After all, when at school, I get to see Millicent and Draco everyday and I do not have to deal with my mother quite so much. I can take my mother in weekly doses but to see her every second of the day can become exhausting.
My holidays were spent relatively quietly. I worked diligently on my holiday cards so that they would arrive on time. I do think cards are such a nice way to show someone you are thinking of them, and besides, I do enjoy putting a little extra effort into them in order to make them look quite pretty and contain a message that will imbue good feeling. Draco, of course, did a magnificent job of accomplishing all those goals with his card. It was so very lovely to receive that I was left smiling all day upon getting it. I was also pleasantly surprised by a quaint little card from Ginny Weasley. I had not really expected one from her so it was particularly enjoyable. I think most people are like I am, and ever so appreciative of the effort and thought that goes into something small like this. Although not all are so, I suppose, as my card to Queenie Greengrass was returned rather rudely defaced. I shall say no more on that subject however.
Millicent and I saw each other quite a bit over the holiday (although not nearly enough). For one, because I took her to the opera with me to see Malocchio! but also because we spent much time planning a birthday surprise for Draco. However, as he already wrote about that in his journal, I shall not give another account of it that would in no way surpass his.
PS. Vincent, I did received some post from you but did you forget to enclose your card with it?
