Poem
when i watch you sleeping, somehow i think
that there, lying still beneath the moonlight
with hair spread on your pillow like spilled ink
written from a quill of black, bled on white
that you might love me, so i creep closer in,
curled under covers, your body by mine,
my fingers tracing words across your skin
composing lines of poetry down your spine
lips dance and flutter, stuttered whispers lost
across your shoulders, you shiver in sway,
body bathed in twilight sheen, silver-glossed,
and though, there beside you, i feel faraway

sunlight cleaves us in two when night time ends
we walk together as nothing but friends
