A Halloween Dance
So we are to have a halloween ball. How terribly exciting. As coincidence would have it, I'd been struck with the simply most delightful costume idea for Draco. I promptly had the outfit boxed and wrapped this morning and I presented it to Draco this afternoon in the Slytherin commons. To which Draco replied to me, "there's nothing in the box at all." Nothing in the box! Doesn't Draco have a positively amusing sense of humour? He is such a darling.

"Draco, dearest, don't be silly," I said to him. "I have put the perfect Halloween costume for you in that box."

Millicent, who is usually very hard to please (and so very honestly blunt in her opinions), told me she thought it would be the talk of the ball and we both agreed that the outfit complimented his eyes wonderfully. We suggested, of course, that he ought to try it on, however, quite disappointingly Draco refused. I have no idea why he was so reluctant. He would have looked simply stunning.

While I'm quite positive that Draco shall look adorable this Halloween despite what he wears, I'm afraid it will not be as nice as he would have looked in the outfit I had picked out for him.

Really, Pansy, would you want the ball cancelled because I'd made half of its attendees swoon into a fit of delirium?

Oh, darling, you know it would be well worth it. Besides this school needs something to discuss other than Harry Potter and detentions.

Have they ever talked about something that wasn't Potter? I'm afraid I must have missed those blissful days.

All the more reason that they ought to stop talking about him and start talking more about you.

Fair enough.
