Lone Snidget
One of my cloaking charms backfired. I hit my journal instead of my project. Wonderful. It's taken a while to reverse the charm, but I'm finally able to see this again - for now at least.
It seems like it was just Halloween, and now it's almost time for Christmas break. I went to the ball as a spokesveela for the Thunderclap broomstick line. Hannah and Seamus helped me choose the get up.

We did.
Actually, I need to talk to you anyway, Mandy. Professor Sprout has given us permission to hold a small party (sixth years only) while the seventh years are away on their before-Christmas-trip on the 18th of Dec, right before you leave for Christmas break.
So, on behalf of the Hufflepuffs, I would like to extend an invitation to you and the rest of the Ravenclaw sixth year to join us for nibbles and dancing on the 18th of Dec, 7pm sharp.
We do so hope you can come.
Love, Hannah

Would it be acceptable if I perhaps did a bit of nibbling, and then thought about the dancing without actually doing so?
(parent)hannahabbott @ 2002-12-03 08:21 pm UTC |
I'm sure that would be perfectly acceptable Lisa!
In my case it will be lots of nibbling and very little dancing I'm sure. Us Prefects can stand on the sidelines making sure the punch isn't spiked and the cakes weren't purchased from the Weasley twins.
*laughing*

*shines badge* I do believe that you are on to something there. Few things are more entertaining than Being A Prefect.
(Oh *ssshhhh* about the twins!)
hannahabbott @ 2002-12-03 08:51 pm UTC |
Especially with such food to feast on like knight_to_h3 and potterstink.
*laughing*
I'm still recovering from the last prefect meeting with Malfoy actually. May never recover at this rate.

Oh Hannah, what a wonderful idea! I do think a small party is just what our lot needs. Is there anything we can do to help?
(parent)hannahabbott @ 2002-12-03 08:57 pm UTC |
Absolutely not. You're our guests!
The house elves are providing the food and I'm doing the decorations myself, otherwise they'll never get done. *rolls eyes*
Just bring yourselves, and high spirits.
Oh, and any special request for a Christmas present? Or would you like a surprise? Lisa?

Umm, I'm not so sure that close contact with bovine is a healthy thing for you.
(parent)turpinol @ 2002-12-03 08:31 pm UTC |
I'm more worried about the fondue, myself.
I was trying to find out more about this "cheese-head" custom, and I saw a picture called "Behold the Power of Cheese!"
It has to be spell book of some sort.

Hmm, well, we could owl my mum and see if there is something similar in the library where she works. It might be a while before she replies, you know mum. Of course this may doom me to days on end of Welsh rarebit if mum goes on another one of her food kicks...

Still better than a ploughmans'.
OH NO.
What if that's all they eat out there?
legit_regit @ 2002-12-03 08:57 pm UTC |
Oh my! Well, I suppose we shouldn't have cheese at the party, just in case.
A people who eat nothing but cheese? O.o Do you think they people will be shaped like cheese as well? I mean, if that's all they eat and wear...
Oh holy Hera! Does this mean you're going to be wearing cheese as well?
hannahabbott @ 2002-12-03 08:59 pm UTC |
Right. No cheese.
Shall note that for the house elves.
On no account should there be any cheese at party.
But we will have little nibbly sausages...
