Current mood: stressed

Of owls, and stray dogs.
Rosie is back at home, now, with a beautiful new collar that looks as though it is meant to match another. It's also got some script: Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. It's very lovely, and I can only assume that it is Narcissa's doing, so to her I say: thanks very much, for Rosie-minding and the gift of the collar.

I do hope that Narcissa is all right. Have sent an owl off to St. Mungo's to find out a bit more about her condition. Will have to make certain she does not let this scare her off brooms. Best thing to do is get right back on and keep flying.

I got a few interesting owls today, one being from my wayward spouse. Sirius seems to be all right, in that he is complaining at length and every other word contains only four letters. At the moment, he is somewhere 'that is completely devoid of any kind of culture, interest, and a decent cup of tea.' My gold's on America, but I shan't say anything more about it. He says he may be home soon. I can only trust to hope that he is right.

Onward to vaster and wider rings.

The other owl came from my cousin Mabella, and it is less a letter than an announcement! She's gone and had herself a sprog, a girl called Clara (people named Mabella name their daughters Clara). It's very exciting, and I shall have to post a gift off straight away as Clara decided to arrive a few weeks early. In her note Mab goes on to say that she and her family will be attending the party for Dumbledore, so that will be nice. I've not seen Mab or her husband in yonks, and new babies are simply delicious.

(And I do not mean that literally, thank you.)

The rest of the morning's post were RSVPs from various and sundry folks and other entities. My house is going to be utterly teeming with nearly everyone in the wizarding world. Seamus suggested I move anything and everything valuable to my vault at Gringott's and I am inclined to agree, so we will begin doing that this week. I'm also considering taking on additional house-elves, because I don't want to overwork the ones already here. I'll owl Minerva and see if there are any left at Hogwarts to spare.

I've still got to work out the details of food, drink (and lots of that, as Hagrid will be here) and entertainment. I wonder if Kirley McCormack remembers me from our school days. I'll have to owl him, as well. A gig is a gig, at any rate.

Am far too busy for my own good. I think I'll take a walk in the garden. Clear my head. Get some air.

Not a word, Seamus. Charlie. Not one bloody word.
