Has everyone gone mad?
I've been simply overloaded with studying and haven't been able to keep up with this journal as much as I would like, so I haven't been on for a few days. I decided to take a break from studying for the Ancient Runes exam and I came back to find everyone going on about the upcoming ball and who might or might not be my date, in particular. I do not understand why anyone is interested in my intentions. Since everyone else seems to want to know my business, let me clear up a few issues:

- Yes, Harry asked me, and I politely told him no, because I want to go with someone as a date.
- Yes, there have been others besides Harry who have asked me to go to the ball. I also told them no, and I will not reveal their names. And yes, I said no for the same reason.
- No, the right person hasn't asked me yet. And no, I will not name names.

So now that you've all been acting like bloody Rita Skeeter, I hope you feel better. I've got to get back to the library. I mean, really.

i wouldn't worry too much about it if i were you. about people talking about your dance partners, i mean. it's just a ball, i guess. and anyway, it's none of their business.

i understand what you mean about not going with harry, though. i guess you guys are really good friends? it's nice, but it's kind of like being just the safety blanket, and being a blanket isn't really great, i guess. :/
