Home for Christmas
Isn't it nice that we can update our journals from any computer and not just those at school? I'm ever so glad that I'll be able to keep up with everything while I'm at home.

Home...yes, it is nice to be here in my own room, spending time with Mum and Dad - even watching television is sometimes fun when you haven't for a long while, although I have to try not to watch the Muggle news programmes. They often report on things that are actually magical in nature as though they are some sort of phenomenon, because of course Muggles don't know magic is real. Even though Mum and Dad know, of course, it can be a bit frustrating at times.

It also gets more and more frustrating to be unable to do magic each time I come home. I turn to do something - stop something from falling onto the floor and breaking, for example - and realise that I haven't got my wand because I'm not allowed to do magic! And so it breaks and then there's a mess to clean up by hand as well.

The nice thing is that Ron has invited me to Christmas dinner at the Burrow and then to spend the night and Boxing Day. I'm really looking forward to it - Mr. Weasley is putting our house on the Floo network for those couple of days and I think Ron will be coming to collect me. Harry will be there as well, and Percy's girlfriend Penelope is also coming - I always thought she was very nice. It should be lovely.

I'm so glad I got all my shopping done at the last Hogsmeade weekend - now all I have left to do is wrap the gifts. I do hope everyone will like what I've gotten for them.

Oh! Mum's calling me for tea - I do miss her scones when I'm at school.
