Dearest Draco:
My darling son,

I have just received the most dreadful howler from Imogene Davis. I know you would never do anything that was unbefitting of a gentleman, darling. However, I did owl her back and assure her that I would inquire about the event in question. Did you act anything less than the thoughtful Malfoy that you are in the presence of her daughter?

Post back soon, dear.

Love, Mother

P.S. As promised, enclosed in this package are the oranges you requested.

Narcissa,

I have just arrived home from my travels in Austria and am most aggrieved to hear of your Howler. Please apprise me of all events that occurred while I was gone, especially as concerns our son.

Lucius

Lucius,

Meet me in my chambers after tea, darling?

Mother,

I hardly did anything to Tracey Davis! The little twit bought some stupid brand of cosmetics that left her horridly disfigured. Surely I shouldn't be expected to ignore such a thing. As though I should have taken her on a date anyway. I simply saw her face, turned, and ran in fright.

Your severely mistreated son,
Draco

My charming son,

I was not accusing you of doing any such thing, Little Dragon. How thoughtful of you to leave the girl alone so she would not embarrass herself by being seen in public with her face in disarray. You are such the gentleman, darling. I shan't understand why the poor thing dabbled with a 'stupid brand of cosmetics' when I had instructed her on every aspect of proper, flattering cosmetics during my little soiree just a few weeks ago. Some girls never learn, I suppose.

Love,
Mother
