Partings.
It would appear that Slytherin has lost not one but two of its numbers. The first is Miss Sally-Anne Perks, who has elected to pursue a much more useful and practical education at Durmstrang. Eager as she was to be rid of this school - and believe me, when I say that I do not blame her, as there is little for her to learn here beyond the art of educational subterfuge and melodramatic foolishness - I only wish she would have at least managed to stay through Monday's Potions exam. Her marks would have balanced out the assuredly dismal attempts by other, lesser students. You know who you are.

Nevertheless, she has left us, and so I will speak of her no more.

The second, however, has vanished under very suspicious circumstances. If anyone has seen Miss Miranda Mulligan since yesterday you are to report to me at once of her whereabouts. I of course suspect nefarious activities and when I apprehend the culprit behind her disappearance, they will of course be very sorry.
