Harry, love------
Harry, love, this is Mrs Weasley, can you see this? Oh, I do hope so, I'm not quite sure how this works just yet! I just wanted to tell you not to let Ron's HORRID treatment get you down right now, we all know he's just too proud to be the first to apologise but I'm sure he just misses you awfully and I do hope you're not too mad at him either, he's a bit misguided but he does it out of love. I'm sending you and Hermione some biscuits each, and I don't want you sharing any of them with Ron even if he begs you bbecause if you're too proud to mind your manners that's no dessert for you, that's what I always say, and the last time I saw you Harry you were looking a bit thin, especially round the legs, and we need to fill those out! A growing boy needs snacks every now and again, and I know Professor Dumbledore does keep you well fed but there's nothing so much as a well-cooked treat that helps you along the way!
Oh, and Harry? I hope you're getting good sleep after all that flying you've been doing lately because I remember when Charlie was a Seeker, he always got so geared up after flying he couldn't sleep and I don't want to hear any of that nonsense from you, do you hear me Harry Potter? You go back to Gryffindor and you sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bight, and don't you think for a minute that I won't send Ginny your way with a nice sleeping potion if I hear you're not getting enough rest young man!
Love,
Mrs Weasley

I've got here a few Muggle devices I picked up before I returned to Hogwarts. Might you be interested in them?
- a 'Gameboy'
- a Mr Coffee
- a random assortment of batteries
You're welcome to the lot, as I have heard you like to collect these things.
- Professor Remus Lupin
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 10:10 pm UTC |
YES PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
.. perhaps.. send them to the Ministry, and I'll collect them from there! The wife usually gets the post at home!
- Mr. Arthur Weasley
PS. Why does coffee have a title?
lupercus @ 2003-04-10 03:15 pm UTC |
Owled those things off to you at the Ministry, Mr Weasley. Enjoy.
And... well, if you ever ascertain the whys of Mr Coffee, do let me know. I've not a clue.

Hullo, Mum! Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on Harry for you! Now you tell me... have you heard from Percy lately? He seems so busy, I'm awfully worried he's too busy!
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-06 11:42 pm UTC |
Oh, Ginny, you know PErcy's terribly busy tehse days, hardly has time to say a WORD to his mother, but I understand because it's not every day your son goes to work at the Ministry! Well I suppose in Percy's case it is every day.... even on your birthday.... but you know your father and I are both so proud of Percy, and your father sees him at work sometimes in the toilet washing his hands, though you probably shouldn't tell Percy I've said that! He always has been a bit obsessive about washing his hands, hasn't he? Though we did just have him and his lovely girlfriend Penelope over for dinner last night, a lovely girl that one is... oh but listen to me, going on about Percy!
(parent)blushcrush @ 2003-04-06 11:58 pm UTC |
I do wonder if he's taking proper care of himself, Mummy, eating well and keeping up with his flat and all that! I hope Penelope is keeping an eye on him! I just love her, isn't she marvellous? Don't you hope they get married? They're so awfully adorable and they've been together so long, you know! Oops, Mum, I've got to go. I saw you met Cho. I really hope you like her!
(parent)wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:29 am UTC |
well we haven't really met truely proper now, Ginny, and -- oh I'm just not sure if my little girl's growing up too fast, cupcake :(

Hi, Mrs Weasley! I'm doing pretty good I think. I'm sleeping okay so you don't have to worry. You and Mr Weasley are pretty good at your journal already. And Ron isn't treating me horrid. We're both really busy lately so we don't see each other so much but don't worry about that because that happens alot and so if you wanted to send him biscuits you probably could. I think he'd like them.
Love,
Harry.
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-06 11:49 pm UTC |
Harry! So lovely to see you here, and what a charming photo you're using! Your growing up so handsome, it's easy to see why Ginny took such a fancy to you! You must have the witches lining up, but don't you let any of them break your heart now Harry, and I know you wouldn't fall for just a pretty face but I do so worry about you now that Ron's gone off with Hermione and I don't know much of the other girls at Hogwarts but if you ever need somewhere to take a girl home to you just take her here and I'll make sure to give her a nice talking to and make sure she doesn't hurt you, because Harry dear with a face like that and a name like yours you never know whose using you! What about that nice Eloise Midgen girl, I went to Hogwarts with her father and I think she's a nice, round girl with good morals, I'm sure of it, I bet I could owl her father and see about it. Oh, and a Quidditch player too, oh Harry this could be loads of trouble, yes, you'd best just let me talk to Bryant Midgen and see.
My, but your eyes really are stunning dear, giving Gilderoy Lockhart a run for his galleons you are!
BUT DON'T YOU TRY TO FOOL ME, Harry, I know Ron's temper tantrums when I see them and it takes a bit of elbow grease but he always hops right back out again! Look at him and Ginny, siblings fight sometimes and--oh, Harry, you and Ron are just like brothers, at least I think so and you just have to get past things like this and everything will be sunny again!
Love,
Mrs Weasley

(parent)wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:37 am UTC |

(parent)wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:46 am UTC |
What a sturdy chin for such a young lad. Strong chin, boy, strong chin. Isn't there some saying about strong chins, dear?
(parent)just_harry @ 2003-04-07 12:08 am UTC |
It's okay you don't have to talk to Mr Midgen, but thank you. I mean, I don't really know Eloise that well but I thought she was seeing someone so don't bother Mr Midgen but if I do start seeing someone I will bring them to see you right away.
And Ron and I are really okay.
knight_to_h3 @ 2003-04-06 11:50 pm UTC |
I don't need any bloody biscuits and you can have my mum too.
(parent)lupercus @ 2003-04-07 12:11 am UTC |
Hello, Mrs Weasley.
It's wonderful to see a parent taking such an active role in their child's life, and not only that but the lives of their friends. Particularly those who might need a little extra mothering now and then. I thank you, as one of Harry's teachers and one of his friends, for being so kind to him. You and your husband both.
Harry's doing just fine, though, I want to assure you. He's quite the Quidditch player, and I'm happy to report that his marks are very good in just about every class (he's even shown some improvement in Potions, I understand). And he's got plenty of friends to spend time with, so I wouldn't worry too much about him socially, he's just fine the way he is. He's a friendly, bright boy, and always a pleasure to have around. As I'm sure you know.
Ron is also a wonderful student. He was a tremendous help to me last year during a class about dragons (no doubt he takes after his brother in that respect) and he's always great fun to chat with, and turns his homework in on time. He may be a little passionate about things at times, but I suspect that is only because he is a very outgoing personality. He can always make someone laugh. I wouldn't worry too much about him, though I know as a mother you will.
You're looking very well, madame, and give your husband my kindest regards. Oh, and expect an owl post soon, as I am getting married and I would love it if you would both be able to attend.
Regards,
Remus Lupin
(Professor, Care of Magical Creatures)
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:19 am UTC |
Well now, Professor, I think we all have a soft spot when it comes to little Harry here, and I just like to make sure he's doing OK. I have absolute faith in Professor Dumbledore and the whole staff, but every boy needs at least some sort of mother figure in his life, and... well, I just want to make sure Harry knows he has one, even if I can't be a real mother to him, I just like to be sure he's taken care of.
Ron wrote his father and I about the business with the dragons, and I do so worry about Charlie down there in Romania but we're so proud of Ron for taking that step all on his own, so proud of him! YOu try and tell that to him though and he'll give you a dirty look and scoot you right out of his way! Children! Mothers can never do anything right, I swear, if it's not one thing it's another all because you just want to love your baby boy. He's our youngest boy, you know, Ron is, and he still feels like that little boy we were trying to keep from wetting the bed!
Oh, and I do love weddings Professor Lupin, and I'm sure yours will be just wonderful! Yes. Yes, I'm sure it will just be wonderful.
Sincerely,
Molly Weasley
lupercus @ 2003-04-07 12:26 am UTC |
You're absolutely right about a boy needing a mother-figure. And it never really leaves them, even when they've gone and grown up on you. Harry's lucky to have you on his side. And I assure you, he will be well-taken care of if I have anything to say about it. The boy is practically family as it is (though it will be more or less official come May). I take care not to favour him as his teacher but as a sort of godfather-by-proxy, I can't help but dote a bit. I'm sure you understand.
I too was proud of Ron for volunteering his assistance. The boy is a natural with dragons. I can see him following Charlie's footsteps someday, if he so wished. It is a talent to be encouraged, and no mistake.
Thank you for the well-wishes, my dear Mrs Weasley.
Regards,
Remus Lupin
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:44 am UTC |
Oh, we do wish Ron would choose SOMETHING, he's got so many talents, he should at least focus on ONE of them! Oh, and do call me Molly, won't you dear?
(parent)lupercus @ 2003-04-07 03:54 pm UTC |
I'm sure Ron will be fine, Molly. After all, the other boys turned out just fine.

Oh, so they're letting the destitute mix with the rest of us in our free time as well now? Wasn't having your children here bad enough? I should think if you were really going to help your son out, you'd be reminding him that he owes a debt to My Family. Aren't you in the least embarrassed that you can't pay what you owe?
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:27 am UTC |
Draco Malfoy don't you think you can walk over here and intimidate me young man, I've met with your mother before and let me tell you she had QUITE a few interesting things to say about her little dragon, so don't think I don't know anything about your little thumb sucking habit!
(parent)wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:50 am UTC |
All I'm saying, is you might want to watch who you talk to before you think you can get away with your games here! I've seen the way you treat my ickle Ronniekins and I'm not having any of it, do you hear me?
(parent)blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-07 10:07 pm UTC |
Mrs. Weasley,
As I recall you told me quite a number of interesting things about your children, Ronald in particular, as well. There is no need to speak sharply to my son. He is my concern and a Malfoy and therefore you have no right to treat him in the manner that you have.
My cosmetic armoire needs rearranging. Keep that in mind for your next appointed work day at the Manor. . .and learn the subtle differences between 'blush' and 'bashful'. I do not fancy seeing my cosmetics out of colour order. The last time you had placed the 'blush' and the 'bashful' together and I very nearly broke out in hives upon seeing my reflection. A lady whom is burdened by uncomplimentary colours should stay burrowed in her room with shame. Mercifully, the mismatched colours were on my features for no more than twenty seconds - a mere passage of time in the grand scheme of things but enough to ruin a perfectly lovely day.
Narcissa Malfoy
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:28 am UTC |
Go away now please, little boy, and leave my wife alone.
(parent)lupercus @ 2003-04-07 12:29 am UTC |
Mr Malfoy, I do believe you owe me a day of detention.
Shall we make it two?
- Prof. Lupin
blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-07 05:41 am UTC |
My dearest Draco,
I am very pleased to see that you are more out and about as opposed to your recent behavior. Miss Parkinson and Miss Bulstrode have my undying gratitude for rescuing you from the depths of despair (which is just horrid for your skin, darling. Have you used the moisturized I sent you? Mummy would feel most awful if her son developed wrinkles or lines about the eyes. Thank Merlin that the Peltiers are well known for their flawless skin and it is unlikely that any such atrocity would befall you. I cannot help but worry, however.). I shall be seeing the both of them come Thursday afternoon to discuss a few matters.
Do you have time this weekend to spare for your mother and possibly your father? I have been terribly concerned about you and would love to see you. It would not be an inconvenience at all for the two of us (and your father, if he is so obliged) to meet in Hogsmeade on Saturday or Sunday. I shall be in the area as it is doing business.
Although I do find it very thoughtful of you to take it upon yourself to remind the Weasleys that they are indebted to the Malfoys, I do not think it necessary. Why, Arthur and Molly occassionally come to the Manor and assist the house elves with the running of the house to pay back some of what is owed. In addition to that and the other things that they and their passel of children are doing to repay us, your father does indeed send them a weekly summary of their account. I do believe that, as of last week, the amount still owed for the death of your owl stands at 6,011 galleons, 58 sickles, and 4 knuts.
Love,
Mother
P.S. Just in case you might be out of it, I have owled along a package of that special skin moisturized for you. Your father and I are leaving shortly for Paris but I shall be checking in on this journaling project so do not feel as though Mother has forgotten about you.

How wonderful that you could join us here, Mr and Mrs Weasley!
I'm not sure that you would remember her, Mrs Weasley, but I'm Anita Churchill's daughter. Mother mentioned to me that she knew you -- she was one of the Ravenclaw prefects when you were both in school.
She sends her regards, incidentally.
Welcome once again,

She's just the same... or so I've been told.
She's been organising fund-raising and charity do's galore recently, between suffocating my sister, Eve, on the occassion.
She still likes the odd Quidditch game as well, and is feverantly disappointed that I really don't like to fly. Scared of heights, and whatnot. Eve is a great relief to her in that department.
Kind regards,
Hannah Abbott

Oh, hello, Mother, so good to see you here. If you would like I am certain that I can drop by Hogwarts now and again to keep an eye on young Harry for you. A young man needs a good influence in his life, and as far as I have seen, Ronald is not quite fitting the bill for Harry. I believe I am of the appropriate age; you know, sort of a hero figure to him, I imagine. Do let me know, Mother.
Fondly,
Percy
wehaveseven @ 2003-04-07 12:58 am UTC |
Now Percy, I don't want you missing time from the Ministry just because of your silly old mother. Besides, you should be busy looking for a better flat! You can't have Penelope round to that thing, Percy, I mean it, you just can't. I know you're proud of it but honestly dear the floor is leaking!
Love,
Mother

Mother, I hardly feel this is the appropriate venue to discuss my flat. However, I did warn you that it was a 'fixer-upper.' I do not believe that Miss Clearwater has any problems with it; my other friends from the Ministry do not seem to mind.
Fondly,
Percy

Oh, Penelope sweetheart why don't you and Percy just stop this nonsense and move IN together? You know Percy, all that book smart and not a bit of common sense in his head! Attaching bowls to the ceiling, honestly. The water falls right back out, you know, you'd think he'd notice but not our Percy! Now if it's a matter of money, you know you two are perfectly welcome at the Burrow. Things aren't so cramped here... actually you know it's a bit lonely round the Burrow lately, we'd love to have you here! Or at least get Percy out of that flat for Merlin's sake!
Love,
Molly
