Please find enclosed with the owl that should arrive approximately 25 seconds after I am done journaling this entry the case of Swedish vodka that you had sent along with Dacey. After much deliberation and staring at the aforementioned case, I have decided that I can't and shan't really trust you for a time. You will note that each bottle in the case is empty. However, I did not consume one drop of it. I poured every bottle out in a small abandoned well at the edge of Remus's property. Good galleons going right down the drain, you might say.
I feel rather invigorated by the whole thing, really. In fact, I am having a vodka tonic right now with some of Remus's GreyGoose vodka. It's much smoother than what you sent me, I expect.

Er, actually, that well harbored some kappas I was going to use for the third-years next term. Ah well, they're not too hard to find I suppose, should there be something off about that vodka, and if not then I shall have some very entertaining kappas to show the kids this year.
Narcissa, I believe Sirius is cooking up a lamb for supper tonight. You are of course welcome to join us.

Oh, Remus, I'm so terribly sorry about that! I attempted to look down the shaft of the well (is that what one would call that? I am not entirely sure on the matter of well terminology, I am afraid.) but it was so very dark and I could not hear a thing. Perhaps it was presumptuous of me to think it abandoned. If something was indeed in the vodka that I discarded there and your kappas are damaged I shall replace them for you.
Will you be needing anything of me to prepare for this supper? I am afraid that I do not know how to cook but I could certainly produce a stunning centerpiece for the table.

No worries about the kappas, Narcissa. They're fairly common. I would rather sacrifice a few of them than have you ingest something you ought not to.
How is Dacey working out in her new surroundings? I wanted to let you know that I have a sort of account set up for my own elves. They get wages, they just don't know it yet - I'll tell them when the idea of being paid doesn't make them burst into tears. I'd be happy to start one for Dacey if you like. I like the house-elves to be happy.
When I am well I would like to take you on a proper tour of the house. I am a terrible host I'm afraid. Maybe you could ask Harry for a stroll around. He seems to be finding everything all right.

Dacey adapts rather quickly so you needn't worry about her. Although I do appreciate your wishing to treat her like your own, I can assure you that she would not care for wages one bit. She is perfectly happy leading her life the way it is now.
You certainly are not a terrible host, Remus. You're exhausted from the week's events. I would indeed love a proper tour and, because I do not want to inconvenience Harry, I shall wait until you feel up to it.

Very well, Narcissa.
I am sending all of your belongings to you, and removing every trace of your presence here in the Manor. I've decided to redo your wing in Danish Modern.
You shall be hearing from the wizibarrister soon with legal papers.

Willing to rid yourself entirely of me so soon, dearest? I see you do not even have a hope for reconciliation. Very well.
Danish Modern. You know I detest the Danish.
By the by, you too shall be hearing from my wizibarrister.

You have made it quite clear that you do not wish a reconciliation. I am no longer willing to tolerate your little escapades, nor am I willing to look the other way while you flaunt our marriage vows.
I rather like Danish. I only let you decorate the way you wanted because it seemed to make you happy.
blondenarcissa @ 2003-04-19 07:02 pm UTC |
I have made clear no such thing. I said that I did not wish to have anything to do with you as long as you saw fit to treat our son in the manner that you have been doing. You will note that my statement leaves room to assume that if you begin to treat Draco differently I would be more than willing to come back to you. You are my husband and I do respect you. However, I feel that as you would not hear my voice on the matter of your treatment of Draco, it is time for drastic measures.
Seeing as you are 'not willing' to bend or budge on this matter nor show me the very respect that I show you, I will say now that I do not wish to reconcile.
Danish. Absolutely no pleasing visual aesthetics whatsover. I will never understand your fascination with this.

As you wish, Narcissa.
And, as for the Danish, I don't know why I like it. I just do. Obviously, pleasing visual asthetics are important to me (after all, look at your beauty). As for the decor, it just appeals to me.

I am well aware the pleasing visual aesthetics are of high regard to you which is why I find your interest in Danish Modern a bit out-of-character.
To each his own.
