Current mood:numb

I've found a few students hiding out in the kitchens, and I am sending them your way, Minerva, along with a herd of very frightened house-elves. Afraid I haven't time to check names on any of them, I'll leave that to you and Poppy.

Incidentally, it might be prudent to allow the students access to the fires so that they can talk to their parents. The castle is being bombarded by owls that are becoming confused and flying into windows and intefering with the rescue effort. I don't want to forbid the students from using the owls but at the same time... it's becoming more of a hinderance than a help.

I'm leaving the North Tower to Sylvia - Severus has summoned me down to the dungeons to assist him with something. If anyone needs me I will be down there, but Severus has request that under no circumstances are students to come down to the dungeons.

Ron and Ginny Weasley - report to my office as soon as you possibly can. Your mother's waiting by the fire, you may use mine.

Also, has anyone seen Sirius?

COMING PROFESSOR

jadedsirius @ 2003-06-24 01:14 am UTC

I'm here, Remus, stop worrying. I'm lending a nose, as it were, to the search efforts as Padfoot. I'll check in when I can. I'll probably be at it all night.

Love you.

~Sirius

I figured that's where you were, I'd just lost track of you. I'm in the dungeons helping Severus open up some of the collapsed passages in case there is anyone down here.

I have spoken to Albus - as soon as I can I will come up and fill you in on what we know so far. Arthur's doing what he can at the Ministry, but they're being of no use as usual.

Love you back. Be careful.

You'll rest, won't you? I know you need to keep looking, but you'll have to rest sometime. You won't do good if you're exhausted. Even for fifteen minutes, please just sit down and rest.

THANK YOU PROFESSOR!! Good that at least SOMEONE is doing something helpful here! Cheers! Any news on Harry??

lupercus @ 2003-06-24 11:45 am UTC

I hope your mother is well, Ron.

And there's no word on Harry yet, no. No word.

Re:

Mum's fine but she shrieked a lot, I think your fireplace will never be the same again. Do you think you can talk to Professor McGonagall about letting me help find Harry??

No worries about the fireplace.

As far as I know, Sirius is heading up the search for Harry with that wonderful nose of his. If anyone will find him, it'll be Padfoot - he'd know Harry's scent from miles away. And, as soon as I am finished in the dungeons with Professor Snape, I will be lending my own nose to the hunt as well. So we're well set on that end, I think.

If you could do something for me, however, Ron, I would appreciate it very much. I've asked Professor McGonagall to open up the fires to students so that they can contact their parents and let them know that they are all right. If you would be so kind as to round up a few of your friends and sort of manage that for us - show people where the fires are, get people into queues, that sort of thing - I would be very, very grateful.

There are connected fires in the offices, the Charms and Transfiguration classrooms, the kitchens, the Great Hall, Sprout's greenhouses, Hagrid's hut, my rooms and I believe Professor Wiglorn has offered her own quarters as well, and the dormitories for each house. Passwords are currently disabled, so you'll have no trouble getting where you need to go.

When you're done with that, if you and your friends could sort out the owl problem, that would be an immense help as well in the search and rescue, not to mention finding Harry.

Cheers, Ron. You're a lifesaver.

Re:

Sure! I'll get Hermione, Ginny, Seamus, and maybe Cho, she's still got one arm. Should be no problem, leave it to me! You'll let us know once you find Harry yeah, Professor?

Thanks, Professor

for opening up the fireplaces for the students to use. I got to talk to my Gran tonight and, well, it's just--well, I'm ever so grateful. Thanks. It meant a lot. Both to her and to me.
