Care to make a wager, Dad?

wehaveseven @ 2003-09-12 02:40 am UTC

What are we talking, fellas?

17 galleons, 12 sickles and 7 knuts. Unless you'd rather gamble food.

wehaveseven @ 2003-09-12 02:55 am UTC

I'd rather gamble food but don't you think your mother's scones would be far better than yours? And when I win, I want quality, son.

Oh, all right. No need to get touchy.

The Cannons are against the Falcons on 27 September, yeah?

We'll bet you three batches of scones from a bakery that Falmouth wins and they put Cadwallader out for the season.

wehaveseven @ 2003-09-12 03:10 am UTC

HAH! No blooming way could anyone put Cadwallader out. YOU'RE ON, for three batches of your mother's best.

percyneedsalife @ 2003-09-12 03:21 am UTC

We'll see, Dad. Not going to skive off, are you?

(parent)
wehaveseven @ 2003-09-12 03:31 am UTC

Are you questioning my ability to not skive off!?

(parent)
percyneedsalife @ 2003-09-12 03:35 am UTC

Just making sure you aren't going to invent any loopholes when pay up comes around.

wehaveseven @ 2003-09-12 03:44 am UTC

I am a man of my word, Fredrick.

(parent)
percyneedsalife @ 2003-09-12 04:46 am UTC

I am Frederick with an e, Dad.

(parent)
wehaveseven @ 2003-09-12 08:03 am UTC

I didn't say I was a man of my specific word, Frederik.

percyneedsalife @ 2003-09-12 11:19 am UTC

Is this like the Perky thing? I'm insulted!

(parent)
perfectprefect @ 2003-09-13 04:09 am UTC

My name is not Perky, Frederick.

While normally I would be under the obligation of opposing any such acts, you are in fact school-leavers and thus there is absolutely nothing I can be held to do.

Incidentally, how do you feel about the Kestrels this year?

Cheers, miss!

The Kestrels, not bad. They'll beat Puddlemere, sure, but I don't think they'll stand against the Harpies in October.

(parent)
scotchtartan @ 2003-09-12 12:05 pm UTC

Surely you jest, Weasley. The Harpies? Lock is a fair captain, a decent woman, but Draught is a weak Seeker.

(parent)
percyneedsalife @ 2003-09-12 12:14 pm UTC

Draught might be a weak Seeker, but there's no way they're putting anything past Blacksmith. O'Sullivan, Donoghue and Butler are good Chasers, but Blacksmith's one of the best Keepers in the League. You'll have to face the facts, miss.
