Mother,

I've checked my diary, and as a matter of fact, I'm busy with school-related events. I've got two new players to train for the Quidditch team, my N.E.W.T.s are this year and I have quite a lot of homework. Perhaps you'll still be free at four o'clock in the morning, which will likely be the only time I have to do anything. I am certain that I could spare the sleep.

I do realize that you are quite busy but I will say again that I should quite like to see you. Your father and I are will be otherwise engaged during the week to celebrate our 8 October anniversary but I will be free finally on Saturday afternoon to spend the day with you. Please see to it that you find the time to schedule a meeting with your mother.

I do not have time on Saturday afternoon. Perhaps you could ask one of the other pupils. After all, their mothers do not come to Hogwarts at every opportunity, so I am certain that they have time.

As the only 'pupil' I should like to see is you and you clearly have no time for your mother, I decline to pursue your thoughtful suggestion.

When you decide you do have time for me, perhaps I shall be too busy 'finding myself', as you have so eloquently put it in numerous owl posts, to pay you mind.
