colder than it should be...
Awfully glad we're no longer running, Neville, as it's downright frigid out there! I took a walk after dinner to get some air and I think it did more harm than good.

The Ball was... interesting. I lost 5 points for loitering by the punch bowl, but then... er... got them back. I think. I do think that Ron's costume was the most entertaining. Didn't know one could roll in such a fashion!

Yet, while it's nice to have fun, I can't help the nervous ball in my stomach. We're getting close to the NEWTS and while I know some of us are likely preparing already, most aren't. Be a shame to see them left behind, now wouldn't it?

Neville, if you're free tomorrow night, I could use a nice game of chess.

Yeah, Ron's costume was really funny! I saw him while he was getting dressed in our room, while he was still trying to get the hang of moving around in it. He lost control a bit in there, too, and smashed up the wash basin table while trying to go out the door. He did have to deflate it to go out the portrait hole.

I really enjoyed our chess game, even though you did beat me! Um, I hope you'll give me another chance to retrieve the Gryffindor honor? Shall we make it sort of a regular thing, a couple times a week or something?

NEWTS, urgh. I know. Hermione has been working up study charts for months. Harry and Ron just roll their eyes at her, but I think they're starting to get nervous, too. Have you joined any of the study teams? If so, which one are you in?
