Current mood:better
Current music:Harry's telescope saying 'Sirius' over and over again

Another year over.
Happy Christmas, everyone.

Still in St Mungo's - they don't seem too keen on letting me out just yet. I can't walk, and the probability of that is still a bit up in the air at the moment, but thankfully I can sit all the way up now which means I was finally able to get my Christmas cards out, with a little help from Harry. I'm sorry they're late.

Harry is here, sitting at the foot of my bed unwrapping some of his gifts. I am thankful to be slightly anal-retentive to the point of doing my Christmas shopping back in October, so no worries for Harry today. He seems pleased with his telescope (it's the kind what's bewitched to tell you what you're looking at, which should improve his marks in Astronomy) and the box of sweets from Honeyduke's. You can never have too much chocolate, of course. Sirius was kind enough to bring over the box of things belonging to Harry's father, and we've had a good morning going through it as well.

And yes, Molly, he is wearing the jumper.

Sirius is here as well. I am quite glad for that. What do you say to your Christmas gift, Padfoot?

Thank you to everyone who sent gifts and flowers and treats. You're all too kind. Severus, the book is phenomenal. Perhaps, when I return home, you might call by for tea? I am given to understand that we have much to talk about.

Also, thank you.

Narcissa, your gift is of course sublime. You have impeccable taste. Bless your heart, I certainly hope you enjoy the brooch. I've never seen another one like it, which is how I think of you.

And as for the rest of you, I wish you a happy Christmas, and a merry new year.

Let's hope it's a good one.

I don't know, Ernie. Is it?

Happy Christmas, Remus!

I am so very glad that you're found and safe! I was absolutely beside myself with worry and I admit to shopping up a storm to keep my mind off of things. However, the shopping wasn't nearly enough to distract me from fretting. Now that you've been found and are well on your way to recovery, I am much more settled. It pleases me that you like your gifts as I wasn't quite certain that you would but I thought I would take a gamble anyway!

Do let me know when you feel up to having visitors! Lucius, Draco, and I may be taking a trip around Draco's birthday in a few days but I would truly love to see you as soon as possible!

Hello Narcissa. Happy Christmas to you as well.

The method in which everyone finds solace in trying times is different, my dear girl, and so I don't blame you in the slightest for doing what came naturally as a distraction. As it happens I spent a good deal of my time away singing to myself, as music has always, er, soothed the savage beast as they say. It helped a bit, though it was a particularly dismal situation, and there wasn't much I could do not to be afraid. I was very afraid.

I would love to see you. Do feel free to call by whenever you have the time. I will more than likely still be here.

Yours,
Remus

Hello, Remus!

I don't doubt that you were very afraid. You are a much braver soul than I and I can only imagine how horrible things were for you. Although it surely was of little comfort during that time, I am glad that you had your music to help you through things.

You can count on a visit from me as soon as possible.

Narcissa
