Oh, how interesting. Have you found a flat yet, or have you looked at all?

Uh, well, no. It was Padma's idea to get another flatmate straight off so then we'd all be able to settle on a choice together, and we'd know the person and that sort of thing, I suppose.

That does make sense. Are you going to get a cat?

I'm still trying to convince Padma that I wouldn't kill one due to neglect. Cats are easy to look after, aren't they?

Oh, yes. They're much less maintenance than a dog is, usually less destructive, and they're quite independent also. You have to feed them and change their litter box, but that's really quite easy. If you've handled Crookshanks in your dorm room for seven years, you can definitely handle your own cat!

The litter box changing had better come with heaps of love and affection in return. But otherwise, hooray! I will add these handy points to my argument.

Litter box changing isn't so bad if you have one of those new ones with the self-cleaning spells. You just have to renew the charm every month or so.

Anyway, best of luck finding a good flatmate.

Oh, brilliant idea! Yet another pro to my sister's extremely short list of cons. And, thanks!
