Be forewarned!
Miss Patil, thank you for your words of wisdom in these trying times - it seems a wonder to me that the other members of your House do not take Divination as seriously as you and Miss Browndo. They will not know when their doom will come! Those such as you and I, however, are fully enlightened. They may scoff, but our knowledge will serve us well!

On a similar note, Miss Patil noted that we were practicing libanomancy (one of my favorite branches of Divination - you simply must read more on it, I'm sure you will find it quite entrancing given time) a few days ago in class. Much to my chagrin, I was studying this ancient art and saw not one, but two dire warnings in the twinings of the smoke! Students who might attempt to cheat on their Divination homework can expect imminent destruction. I was most displeased when the smoke showed me the actions of certain unnamed students in their common rooms, not practicing Divination at all! The Eye sees all!

However disturbing this may be, the second warning was far worse. I had nearly achieved a trance state, aided by the sandalwood incense burning nearby, when the smoke formed a mouth and began speaking to me! It said: The Eye is displeased with one of your students, who has stopped listening to her inner eye. If she continues on this blinded, broken path, she does so at her own peril! Clearly, Miss Granger, this warning was meant for you and you alone! I have spoken with Headmaster Dumbledore and he agrees that it will not reflect badly upon you in any way should you decide that you are willing to return to the way of the Diviner. Fail not at your peril, to echo my prophecy!!

My tea is brewing. I must go. Who knows what revelations the leaves may offer?

Professor Trelawney,

I have been reading more on libanomancy, and it is more interesting than I previously believed. I suppose I just need more practice.

I simply cannot wait until we start studying oneiromancy, though. If we have the time, I plan to get a book or two on the subject from the bookstore when Lavender and I go to Hogsmeade for divination supplies. I'd like to stop by the classroom to see you sometime before going to Hogsmeade to ask if you have any recommendations of good books on the subject.

Thanks,
Parvati

I thank you for your kindness, but I feel I am on the proper path. In the future, if you see anything you think is about me, do keep it to yourself, won't you?

If you do not wish to be informed of your future, so be it.

However, I will continue to warn the other faculty members of any danger I foresee. Do not be so selfish as to believe that you are the only person who may be harmed by your disdain for Divination!
