The World According to Gryff
My, how things do become dreadfully fascinating between Hogwarts' walls over a short few hours. The eternally cumbersome Weasley has spun a vast new tale of melodrama and heartache, betrayal and deception. I am on the edge of my iron seat in anticipation. Will Chang ever win Weasley over? Will Potter simply decide to disregard all and take Vector to Hogsmeade instead? Where has Granger gone and where will her spine be when it returns? Shall it lie with her true love, or will actual personality outweigh the confinements of her heart? Only time shall tell.

Inspired by Black's charmingly quaint outing to a game of Grottle last month, I have decided to take it upon myself to lead my sixth and seventh year Slytherins on an outing of their own. After all, it is only fair that since those select Gryffindors were taken on a trip, the Slytherins should get their own as well. I will be posting permission slips here, and you will all need parental permission, and yes, Ms Bulstrode, I am aware that your father's initials are not M.B., so I would suggest that you avoid a repeat of that unremarkable incident.

For this particular day of fun and delight, I have decided upon taking my Slytherins for a visit to Azkaban. Albus has insisted, as though I were a complete buffoon, that I am certain to keep large stores of chocolate on-hand at all times. The Headmaster is against this trip, but I say that fair is fair and if the wretched may have their snowmen, the pristine shall have their Dementors.

Naturally I have not thought only of myself here. I am, of course, thinking of Black. If you so wish to join us, Black, you will be entirely welcome. I am certain that you simply cannot resist revisiting your glory days. I wonder, would the Dementors let out a cheerful chorus of, "Black!" upon your entrance? Have they a set of your rags bronzed above the entrance? Simply think of the sheer volumes of fun you could encounter and the knowledge you could bestow upon students. "Here is where I ground my fingernails down to the cuticle," you could say, pointing to a particularly smooth patch of stone. See the spot of wall Sirius Black once held a three month conversation with. Tickets to start at one knut for a limited time only.

I think a trip to Azkaban is an excellent idea, Professor Snape.

I have five galleons on the former.

Really, Snape, I must say I'm impressed. You're very brave to go waltzing into a place filled with people with marks on thier arms like yours. Ones that might just resent the fact that they are incarcerated in that hell-hole directly due to your double-crossing actions. Ones that the Dementors might not even be able to hold back should they recognise you.

I fail to see why you want to drag the students there.

Unless you want to show some of your Slytherins their future home.

You'll pardon me if I decline your so gracious invitation. Maybe next time. Or not.

Ooh, cat fight. Well done, Sirius.

Thank you, Sylvia. Will you be coming round for drinks this evening? Remus is driving me insane with china patterns, perhaps you can distract him from his nesting instinct.

Oh, most certainly. I'll bring cigars to honour the occasion.

Not that I can see how it is any remote business of yours, but my position is, I assure you, secure, and you might do well to pay mind to those who are doing actual work against Voldemort, rather than enjoying the luxuries of their new-found freedom. My spying has given us tremendous insight into what is happening in the Dark Lord's inner circle, and pardon me if I am mistaken, but I was under the impression that Albus wished for you to contribute to the cause as well. However, I can sense that would be too much work for the great Sirius Black.

As if losing twelve years of my life wasn't enough, I am on call any time the Order has need of me. I wouldn't expect you know what I do for the cause, as I don't feel the need to brag about it publically. Nor belittle other's efforts, Sevvie.

Oh, Sirius, you're practically hissing.

jadedsirius @ 2003-03-29 03:44 pm UTC

Has anyone ever told you that you're an instigator, Sylvia?

I would not belittle your efforts if it were not so very clear that your efforts consist of little more than offering to help whilst pointing to others and inferring that their own help may cause a death that would be enjoyable to you. If there is one who is grossly belittling here, Black, it is you and your insidious remarks over my consistent labour. As it stands, one begins to wonder if twelve years weren't enough.

Sevvie, is that all you can do? I'm disappointed.
