Am not particularly looking forward to school opening again. I do wish Sibyll wouldn't have holed up in her tower for most of summer, since we're getting along so splendidly now, even if she does tend to prattle on about her "wee-jah" board at times.

When school does start, I shall have to think up some sort of diversionary thing since it seems everyone but me and my favorite drinking partner is completely wretched. And you know me—always there to lift some spirits. (Down from the shelf, that is.)

My parents have got me and holed me up with my sisters for quality time over the hols.

I am not returning to Hogwarts because they are going to drive me to my own death. I shall be chasing this jar of Asphodel with a bottle of vodka. Adieu, Hooch.

onourbrooms @ 2003-08-26 05:56 pm UTC

Certainly "quality" time, but who's the judge of the actual quality of the quality time?

Sinistra. You are returning to Hogwarts. Do not make me come fetch you. Certainly, your parents are soul-suckingly evil. But that is no reason to end it all.

... Your sisters, on the other hand? Haven't met them. They might be.

Will perhaps kill them instead. Am taking irritation out on Lupin currently. Always fun.

Yes, because that's so much less messy.

Be easy on Lupin. For all his whinging, he's had a rough time of it.

Thank you, Xiomara.

Though, if it makes her feel better then she can say whatever she likes to me. I'm up to it.

Stay out of my shelves, woman.

I am warning you.

S.S.

sinistra @ 2003-08-26 12:45 pm UTC

Be careful or else the S.S. Sevvie will toss your body around, break you on the rocks, and then throw you into an unrelenting sea.

The vodka is kicking in now, is it Sinistra?

You noticed.

Even from here, I can tell that your breath is at the very least 80-Proof.

onourbrooms @ 2003-08-26 06:07 pm UTC

And this is extraordinary?

She needs no excuse to turn to drink. Having a rather good one just makes things even easier.

onourbrooms @ 2003-08-26 06:01 pm UTC

Moi, casually rifling your shelves? Perish the thought.

(Perhaps if you just tunnelled down quickly you could catch me?)

sibyllsays @ 2003-08-26 07:49 pm UTC

Ouija, dear, Ouija!! What sort of diversionary thing were you considering?! Madame Zora recently gave me a FABULOUS Tarot reading that predicted a large social gathering in my future! Perhaps that is what you're thinking of?

onourbrooms @ 2003-08-26 08:07 pm UTC

Well, we could always gather Sinistra, Black, Sevvie, et al in one room and get them all properly liquored up to knock some sense into their angsty little heads; but I fear the utter woe would be overwhelming and knock us all on our arses. This bears further consideration. Perhaps over a drink.

sibyllsays @ 2003-08-26 08:34 pm UTC

A drink sounds MARVELOUS!! Come to the tower? I found some of your sort of liquor - dowsing rods work wonderfully on this sort of occasion!!

onourbrooms @ 2003-08-27 06:52 am UTC

Now you've got the idea.

(parent)
sinistra @ 2003-08-27 12:03 am UTC

I'm not gathering with Trelawney unless you pay me.

(parent)
onourbrooms @ 2003-08-27 06:57 am UTC

I think you'll find her tolerable, after she's had about six of her Midori Sours. She's not such a fruit-bat anymore, she's become much more placid and, well, sound.

Besides, we have alcohol, and I've missed harassing people with you. Speaking of which, Sinistra + Black? Does not compute. Just a thought.

(parent)
sinistra @ 2003-08-27 09:39 am UTC

You forget that Trelawney is the reason I receive scrolls about Scorpio rising. Interestingly enough, towards the end of the previous term they began giving me scrolls about Scorpio Nespoir rising.

I have no choice but to turn to Black. Severus has grown up and over our vicious circle I am afraid. You have run off with Sibyll and I am a lonely bitter woman who sleeps all day.

(parent)
onourbrooms @ 2003-08-27 11:45 am UTC

Does Sibyll personally send you said scrolls?

Her twits of students may, but she, to my knowledge, has no interest in a fictional character's risings.

Severus is in a snit for unfathomable reasons and will come round, once he stops involving himself in the doings of dogs. I have run nowhere, I was merely branching out my circle of friends since you and he were nowhere to be found all summer. Maim your family a bit and come have a drink, sans Black. He is Not Of The Good.

potions_master @ 2003-08-27 01:30 pm UTC

What I do with my personal time is not your concern, Xiomara. However I would not be opposed to seeing the both of you upon my return to Hogwarts.

However, if Sylvia has taken up with strays then I would rather not.

(parent)
onourbrooms @ 2003-08-27 03:28 pm UTC

Severus. Did I say I objected to whatever it is you choose to do? Did I not defend Lupin when Sylvia mentioned mocking him for sport? No. I merely said you were in a snit, which you certainly seem(ed) to be.

I am not going to take sides on this Lupin/Black nonsense.

I do wish to have a proper piss-up with some poker on the side in the forseeable future with the both of you. It's been quite some time.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-08-27 10:32 pm UTC

I am a grown man. I am not in a "snit."

If it is poker you are looking for I suggest you pay a visit to Gringott's beforehand, as I do not intend to leave you with any more than fare for the Knight Bus at the end of the night. I will have returned to Hogwarts this Friday. Would Saturday evening suffice?

(parent)
onourbrooms @ 2003-08-27 11:12 pm UTC

Whatever you say, Sevvie.

Pending upon previous engagements and the timing thereof, Saturday evening sounds good to me. And you may talk a good game, but if you'll recall, it was not I who came away empty-pocketed last time.

(parent)
potions_master @ 2003-08-28 01:42 am UTC

We shall see, Xiomara. It has been quite some time since our last match. I may surprise you.

Don't call me Sevvie.

potions_master @ 2003-08-27 01:23 pm UTC

Enough of your whinging, Sylvia. When are you due back at Hogwarts?

(parent)
onourbrooms @ 2003-08-27 07:01 am UTC

And as an afterthought: She's much better than your present company, is she not?
