Current mood:enraged

Yesterday I had the privilege of doing something that I'm quite sure no one else in this castle has the ability to even attempt. I've not yet got the results back, as it has, of course, been only a day, but I'm certain I'll once again be the envy of the entirety of Hogwarts. It's odd, how tedious being an object of envy becomes.

Naturally, I'll be sure to let everyone know when I've heard news.

It's become rather cold as of late, and the snow is a bit premature for my taste. Yesterday I nearly stepped in a pile of slush. Fortunately I realised what was about to occur at the last moment.

It would appear that Granger has caused some sort of catastrophe. I knew it was only a matter of time before she finally proved herself to be a walking disaster area. Anyone could have guessed that her marks weren't going to last long. Doesn't anyone remember how she spent those mysterious weeks in hospital during second year? She was in there during fourth year as well, though I don't recall it being quite as long. I expect those were both due to her own poor performance at some minuscule task or another. I'd always suspected, as most people only ever go to the infirmary because they've put themselves there anyway, but this just proves its likelihood.

My knee has been acting up lately. In case you've forgotten, my kneecap was shattered last term during my fantastic performance against Ravenclaw, wherein I bravely performed as both a Seeker and a Beater. I do hate bringing the subject up, as it generally makes my knee hurt in recollection of the whole thing, but as it already hurts there's no point avoiding it. Each time I stretch my leg out it feels as though my kneecap is going to slide off and sit in the wrong place. I may have to have Millicent carry me to lessons tomorrow if it doesn't get any better. I've no idea why it hurts now, but I suppose I should have known Pomfrey's services wouldn't be up to par.

Oh darling, I do hope your knee stops acting up quickly, but best to not put too much weight on it in the meantime. Perhaps I could rub some liniment on to it?

I rather think that would do nicely.
