And another thing. Why is it that everyone in this home for degenerates is so incredibly nosy? Not a day goes by that someone isn't trying to stick their noses into the lives of those that are better than them. Walking about, trying to act as though they're quite great. I suppose it's just an attempt to make friends with the fortunate. Some people just don't know when they're being moronic prats.

Yeah, well, that's a good way to get your big nose broken, isn't it?

Father sent me a Firebolt last week. Amidst the glory of my fantastic win against Hufflepuff this past weekend, I'd nearly forgotten to write about it. Of course, it's the newer Firebolt. I hear the old models are still good - if you're in retirement, that is.

I'm absolutely tired of hearing about this Bleu Ball. At least two girls in every class come up to me and say, 'Draco, will you do me the absolute privilege of being my handsome, ravishing, charming, spectacular date?' Of course, I have to tell them all that I'll think about it. I wouldn't want someone prettier to ask me later. I suppose I'll just have to let one of them accompany me. I'm just not sure which girl I'll be giving the honour of arriving on my arm.

Speaking of the ball, Mother is sending me money this week so that I can have some new dress robes tailor-made. I'd certainly hate to be showing up in the dress robes of the Yule Ball days. Lord, anyone who wears the same dress robes twice should be taken out into a Quidditch pitch and left for the Bludgers to find. I myself wouldn't dream of it.

In other news, I'd have to say I am rather impressed at Professor Snape's choice in hair colour today. Obviously, fair hair has been best for quite some time. I think it's a wise decision on his part.

At any rate, I need a house-elf to come fix one of the windows in my dormitory. Evidently, much like everything else in this castle, the windows are held together on spit and a prayer. You wouldn't think that throwing a simple Quaffle at it would break it. The glass in all of the windows at the Manor is much stronger than that. But really, then, what can you expect from Hogwarts?
