Current mood:enraged

I don't see how the headmaster intends for any of us to get any sleep when everyone is prancing about all over the place. Even as I type there are still people going in and out of Slytherin, and I'm quite certain it's similar in other houses.

It has come to my attention that there's a sixth year Slytherin called Filbert Q. Snodgrass. I don't know what the Q stands for, but I intend to find out. This sort of person is rather unacceptable. He's evidently been paired with Gaia Weasley for this week, and appears to be asthmatic. Obviously there's been some sort of mistake.

I cannot believe participation in this week is mandatory. How is that supposed to garner trust? Forcing us to spend time with people we can't stand? Why would I trust someone who made me do that?

Father says there's nothing to be done. I'm surprised they haven't forced all of the Wizarding World to do this. Dumbledore certainly seems to have spread his fascism far enough that he'd try. Evidently we've got to keep our belongings leant out for the entire week, which makes absolutely no sense to me. The point, supposedly, is to prove to us that we can trust people in other houses, but it's not as though most of us wouldn't 'accidentally' lose these items given the choice.

Yesterday we had to sit through a completely dull lesson given by McGonagall and Professor Vector regarding the history of the four houses in Hogwarts. Evidently, Godric Gryffindor enjoyed dancing. I'm thrilled. The Sorting Hat, who appeared quite excited to have the opportunity to talk at length, then went on a bit about Slytherin and Gryffindor becoming friends, etc., etc. I do believe Professor Vector fell asleep at one point. I did hear that one of the Hufflepuffs was told they ought to be in Gryffindor now, so I wonder what sort of trauma that caused. Naturally, I'm still Slytherin.

When I wasn't looking, Turpin chose our ten deeds for the week, and now I've got to do something I'd rather not discuss in public. Needless to say, Turpin may want to watch her food come Saturday.

Moving onto better subjects, I've tentatively scheduled my belated birthday party for 10 April during the Easter holidays. I wanted to have it on Walpurgis Night, but as Slytherin plays Gryffindor the day after, I would have been forced to throw a morning party, which I'm obviously not going to do. Perhaps I can have another, smaller celebration on Walpurgis Night regardless, as I would enjoy celebrating it in some form.

Nott is bothering me for this computer, so now I shall have to think of several more things to say so as to stay on it myself.

I saw Potter on Monday, and fortunately by that time he'd stopped glooming around about his flesh-eating virus infected blanket that Finch-Fletchley's got. Potter is so needy. I assume it's due to a life of living in the cupboard. I don't know what he'd do if I weren't around, as I'm obviously the greatest person he knows. Since I'm not going anywhere until June, I suppose this will be fine, but I don't know what shall happen when that time is up. His life will likely be in ruins. In any case, he's been quite joyful so far this week, which leads me to believe that he is actually enjoying the whole thing, which leads me to believe what I always suspected anyway, which is that he is off his hinges. Please try to contain your mild, apathetic shock.

Today I made myself breakfast in bed, as I am in fact someone of my gender. It was rather a thoughtful good deed, don't you think?

Also, why do the dungeons smell of lilac?

You haven't even made one protest rally this week, you know.

potterstinks @ 2004-02-12 11:21 pm UTC

I've been protesting quite a bit.

Why do you keep commenting here? I'm not even bothering to check this.

And you're slightly different, now aren't you?

Me too.

I'm not your partner, so that doesn't even make sense.

My point, Potter. You've not been around me while I've been helping Flitwick stock feathers with Turpin.

Well you haven't been protesting to me, anyway.
