Draco,

I am encouraged by reports that you have decided to escort the Parkinson girl to this Bleu Ball. As you know, she is of impeccable breeding and her family is an old and powerful one. I commend you on your attention to future alliances. Your mother and I could not be more pleased. I would be neglecting my duty as your father if I failed to remind you of your promise. I have enclosed fifty galleons for you to buy whatever you need to make this happen.

As for those other exasperating tasks, after I received your owl, I immediately sent my assistant to deal with Madam Malkin herself. Unfortunately, your material is being imported from India and that is the reason for the delay. Very nice choice if I may add. Son, I know this will disappoint you and I know this sounds ridiculous, but I have been told that some wizards and witches have to wait an entire week for tailored robes, sometimes even two weeks. This is the unfortunate reality that we are forced to deal with.

As for the appalling conditions that you are forced to bear, I will get in touch with Dumbledore. For such blatant shoddiness at the dinner table, why it's preposterous! Surely with all the money the Ministry is allocating for Hogwarts upkeep and educational expenses, they can certainly afford to provide a decent enough meal for their own students. I am absolutely outraged.

I have called a meeting of the school governors to present your suggestion that Slytherin students have their classes to themselves without sharing. There is enough support from the older pureblood families to put this into motion. Will keep you updated on further developments.

-Your Loving Father

Father,

I knew you wouldn't like hearing about the way they're treating your pride and joy. I am quite sure that all Slytherins would benefit from a single House schedule. Surely the diseases have spread far enough.

- Your favourite son.
