It seems a tragedy has befallen our beloved Hogwarts. Parts of the school collapsed and many students were trapped in the rubble. I understand there are quite a few injuries and some students are as yet unaccounted for. Thank Merlin, Draco is not in that group. He's fine and showed remarkable foresight in finding a safe place amidst the chaos. The Weasley whelp attacked him again and I am making plans to take him to a plastics mediwizard. One's nose can only be broken so many times before it starts to show signs of ill use.

I owled Narcissa at the chalet when I received news of the latest events, and she is currently staying at Hogsmeade, in some inn that is only fit for the likes of Sirius Black. Naturally, in the light of this horrific tragedy, both she and I are focused on our son. The matter of the private investigator and his false reporting is on hold, but, of course, not forgotten. I don't forget things. I certainly won't forget this.

The damage to Hogwarts does seem to be extensive, based on reports I've gotten. I must check to make sure my funeral outfit is ready to wear; after such an incident, there are bound to be fatalities.

It is quite interesting that you should have mentioned funeral apparel a few brief hours prior to Hogwarts discovering that several members of their student body are deceased, Mr Malfoy.

Re:

Mr. Weasley,

From the nature of the damage, as described, it seemed to me to be inevitable that there would be fatalities, as regrettable as it may be.
