It's been a while since I updated, but it's been absolutely mad at work. I'm trying to decide which departments at the Ministry will be liquidated, and it's such a tiresome process. The Ministry only has so much money, and I certainly don't want anyone to lose their job (and their home; on the other hand, living paycheck to paycheck and breeding a litter of runts that you cannot support is hardly something I have any control over) yet some departments simply don't make fiscal sense. Hence, we must prune the deadwood. I daresay the only ones interested in muggle artifacts are the ones who aren't best suited for Ministry work anyway.

Narcissa has been behaving strangely as of late. She's now requested that I go to Provence, as the truffles there are simply divine. However, one does not eat truffles with butterbeer, jello (some sort of Muggle snack, Arthur tells me) and garlic bread. She's been ill, poor dear, with a bit of a stomach bug. I'm sure I can pick up a bauble to cheer her up.

Draco, too, has taken exception to the portraits in the Manor, so I daresay we'll have to get new ones. I've been wanting to redo the South Wing for a while, so I may put Draco in charge of that. He's inherited his mother's exquisite taste, and will rise to the occasion as a Malfoy should.
