Current mood: cynical

It seems that Pettigrew came and left Hogwarts quickly. Certainly, he was gone by half three this morning (thank you, Potter). Had Turpin not spotted the rat, we may never have known he was here at all. On a more unfortunate note, it would appear that he managed to steal back the wand of You-Know-Who from the headmaster's office. We may take small comfort in knowing that this is likely the reason he was here, but this is certainly a grievous blow to the Wizarding World.

On that note, I should hope that everyone will give a warm welcome to our new assistant librarian. This includes you, Madam Pince. The Hogwarts library is far too large a place for one person to overlook. Headmaster Dumbledore feels that this assistance will be a great benefit to Hogwarts. Welcome back, Professor Lupin.

Excellent, Minerva. However if you bring Kingsley Shacklebolt in to be an 'assistant astronomy professor' or something equal to that I am going to be very upset.

Oh, now really, Sylvia.

Well I am only warning you.

Your objections to the hypothetical idea of Shacklebolt being brought on as an assistant Astronomy professor are noted.

Thank you, Minerva. It's nice to be back, though it would appear I am not the only one who felt it time to return to the hallowed halls of Hogwarts.

We will catch him.

In the meantime, if anyone needs any books, come and see me. Madam Pince seems to be rather taken with the notion that there's another body in the library. Last I saw her she was conjuring up margaritas in her office.

And please, the "professor" bit is no longer necessary.

Would you prefer 'Sir Lupin'?

Ooooh...

(No, Remus is fine.)
