Current mood: guilty

On being completely dead wrong
I recently went home for a few days to attend the wedding of my cousin Colin. Now, before a left I was accosted by a gang of females who were less than pleased with my behaviour of late. But more on that later.

On recent events, I shall be brief:

[info]knight_to_h3, you disappoint me.

[info]just_harry, why so glum, chum?

[info]blushcrush, good for you; I knew you had it in you!

[info]jadedsirius and [info]lupercus, many congratulations. I was considering charming my way into the bachelor party, being of age and all, but frankly, I think [info]sinistra will try to teach me things I don't want to know.

Between the lecture I got a week ago and the nuptials past and future, I've been thinking a great deal about boyfriends and love and things like Valentine's Day. While I was home I spoke to Da, who was actually very helpful, surprisingly enough.

And I realized that I had been a complete and utter arse last month, that even though I didn't get what I'd dreamed of, he went to quite a bit of effort to get me something he thought I might want, and I was rather ungracious about the entire episode. As Hannah pointed out, I didn't exactly tell him what I wanted. Not that he asked, but that's not the point.

I now have a great deal of grovelling to do.

Join the queue okay?!

Well, it would appear that we will be working together. I won't pretend I'm not very put out by this, but we should make the best of it. Perhaps you and I could have a chat later?

That is, if you think you can stay calm long enough to talk to anyone.

That will be fine.

Oh, and Ron? The all caps, not so much with the calm.

That's awfully sweet of you to say, Seamus!

Not at all! Besides, I think I have you and that Seeker of yours to thank for this. At least in part.

Good to see the meeting with your parents went well. Might give Dean a bit more encouragement that his letter will be okay.

I'm okay, just kind of tired lately.

Want to do something this weekend or something?

seamus_f @ 2003-04-01 08:19 pm UTC

Yeah! I'm hoping to get those passes from Vector and go to Hogsmeade with Dean, but that's just Saturday. But Sunday, we could go out flying or some such, get out of the castle now spring's here.

Sorry about this business with Snape. I'd offer help but I'm sure Lupin and Black have more pull than I ever would. (I'd say more but they do read these things, you know.)

I have some sweets leftover from the wedding, if you like.

You do? I'm going to run this book over to Dumbledore, and then I'm going to find you right after, okay?

I guess three to one is sort of out numbered but, well, I don't quite think we count as a gang. It was all for the best, truly. We wouldn't have done it if we hadn't known you would do the same for us - You know that. After all, who else could have got me to dress up as a Veela at Halloween? And besides, do you know how difficult it is to catch an Irishman on your own?
