Current mood: infuriated

All my exes live in Gryffindor Tower, and that's why I'm off to St. Mungo's.
Pomfrey is really the most excellent of women, and is sending me on an errand to St Mungo's, so I shan't return until tomorrow evening. Besides, I really should continue to build relationships with the Healers so I can get that apprenticeship, or all this work is for naught.

Lupin, would you like a visitor? I'll be in the hospital, so you can send someone to find me whenever you are up to a chat.

But before I leave I think I'll have a bit of a gallop out in the back pasture, work out some frustrations, that sort of thing. I'm entirely too agitated to Apparate at the moment, I think.

Good luck on your errand, Seamus!

seamus_f @ 2004-01-10 11:28 am UTC

Thank you! Good luck to you as well, and I'm sorry you're catching such hell from Snape. (Though I admit, hey, it keeps him from paying attention to me, and this is a good thing.)

Perhaps--perhaps we could make sure to have some night? I feel like I rarely see you, these days.

And I feel I am rarely here! Honestly, what I wouldn't give for some extra time. I've barely gotten to study for N.E.W.T.s for the past few months, I must be dreadfully behind.

When you get back from St Mungo's, let us have a sit-down.

Look...okay, it's becoming perfectly obvious to me that I may have just gotten myself in a mess of sorts but Shay I saw what you said to Lavender and I just want to stress that it is NOT what you think.

seamus_f @ 2004-01-10 02:23 pm UTC

I was a bit . . . emotional when I was talking to Lavender. I hope to correct that later.

But Dean, you do see--that was a natural conclusion, with what she said to me. I don't know what it is that you wanted to achieve, but if you wanted to let me know that our relationship was a mistake on your part that you wish to forget, then consider the message received. Loud and clear.

No no no... this wasn't about you or Lav or anyone else it was just me wanting to see my parents on Christmas. That was all I was thinking about at the time!

And now...well, I could have thought things through better, I admit.

Dean, I really am sorry about your family. I know how lucky I've been. I'm only sorry that we couldn't handle that together, but I suppose things were already going awry at that point, weren't they?

Anyway, I just--I just wish things had been different. That's all. I don't feel like I even know you anymore.

I don't feel like I know me anymore.

God, I just realised that. Isn't that funny?

Every time I've ever gone wrong, it was because I cared more about what other people thought than what I thought. But that's the only advice I've got. Basically I'm useless here.

Maybe we can talk? When I get back on Sunday night?

Yeah, that would be good. And...thanks.

All my exes live in Gryffindor Tower, and that's why I'm off to St. Mungo's. Just wanted to point out that I'm not an ex of yours, Seamus, and I'm sure you'll agree that we're both perfectly happy to keep it that way. We're better off being satisfied with keeping it just friends.

Hope you found Professor Lupin well, and that he'll be well enough to come back soon. (And sorry about the potting soil that got spilled on your bed this weekend, btw. I was repotting some of the plants on my windowsill and tripped. Anyway, I think Dobby and I got most of it, but I wouldn't swear to it that we caught every crumb that fell into your pillowcase.)

Why, Neville Longbottom, I believe you just made a joke!

Anyway, I said all my exes live in Gryffindor Tower, not that everyone in the Tower is my ex. Though the former isn't even true, as Charlie is in Romania, but then again, I'm not sure how much he's my ex and I'm stopping this little journey down memory lane right here.

As for the soil, as long as it doesn't harm my hair, I really don't mind. I'm sure I'll be elbow deep in it soon enough. I reckon you'll have to hold my hand through the herbology NEWT. I swear I have a black thumb.

Lupin was very well indeed when I left him. He seemed to benefit from the visit, at any rate. I very much hope he will be back very soon, but silver, it's a tough thing. Bastards.

(I would say something stronger but I'm rather sure McG would have my head for it. Eyes in the back of her head, she has.)
