The Gryffindors have arrived!
Lead us to the dance floor!

What does that mean? Do we need them to party? I have no use for Sharks!
(parent)seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 10:30 pm UTC |
How can I be a Shark? When Snape is so clearly Officer Krupke?
(parent)turpinol @ 2004-03-26 10:35 pm UTC |
I see Professor Sinistra as more of an Officer Krupke myself. The Jets are offensive, and the Sharks are defensive. Malfoy is Riff, and Ron Weasley is Bernardo.
(parent)seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 10:38 pm UTC |
I always pictured Malfoy as Maria, actually. You have to admit, Malfoy singing "I Feel Pretty" will never stop being funny. And Parkinson as Anita: Forget that boy, and find another! One of your own kind . . .
So who do you see as the main pair?
turpinol @ 2004-03-26 10:45 pm UTC |
Well, Malfoy is the most likely person to sing a song about how great he looks. However, I think that's too obvious. I haven't seen West Side Story in a few years, but if I'm remembering properly, Tony is sort of a legend to be feared. Therefore it is abundantly clear that Millicent Bulstrode is Tony. Dean will be Maria, with you pulling out a strangely appealing verse as Anita in the quintent.
(parent)seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 10:50 pm UTC |
Well, I could certainly dance the part. Hrm. And after that hair thing, perhaps Dean would sing I Feel Pretty . . .
Though the idea of Dean and MB together is disturbing. Reminds me of those horrible double dates when Dean and I were still a couple.
turpinol @ 2004-03-26 10:51 pm UTC |
Well, Anita and Tony were disturbing to everyone else, too. Forbidden love would not be so zesty if it were reassuring!

I'm not really sure we're quite at the party level where my moves get unleashed. Not quite yet, anyway. Maybe in another half hour?
seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 10:33 pm UTC |
Right, mate, you just carefully monitor your boogie levels and when they are peaking, but not before, you can unleash on this unsuspecting Ravenclaw CR. Make sure I'm watching, though.
(parent)deanthomas @ 2004-03-26 10:35 pm UTC |
Whatsay I give the signal, you clear the floor? Space is necessary for an unleashment of the moves.
(parent)deanthomas @ 2004-03-26 10:42 pm UTC |
What do you take me for, some kind of amateur? Perpare for Bronco, Double 99, Crazylegs, Hollowback, Flares, Munchmills, and two-legged Applejacks.
(parent)deanthomas @ 2004-03-26 10:48 pm UTC |
Those are my moves. Along with Belly Windmills, Nutcrackers, Kneespins, Gainers, and Eggbeaters.
(parent)deanthomas @ 2004-03-26 10:52 pm UTC |
You might want to wait 'till you see them.
Seamus.. clear the floor.
It is time to unleash.
seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 11:01 pm UTC |
I think I'd better, as all this butch talk of dance moves is getting the girls excited.
RIGHT! EVERYONE STAND ASIDE! SUPERIOUR DANCING ABOUT TO BE DISPLAYED!
That do for you?
deanthomas @ 2004-03-26 10:50 pm UTC |
Actually, the kind of dancing I do requires that everyone stand back and watch. It's a...solo sort of thing. You'll see.
(parent)wheresmytoad @ 2004-03-26 11:06 pm UTC |
That's--that's stunning, Dean.
I had no idea you could do that sort of thing. Damn, how long did it take you to learn that stuff?
wheresmytoad @ 2004-03-26 11:16 pm UTC |
Want a dance, for old time's sake, Lav? I promise not to step on your feet. Well, not any more than I can help, anyway.
(parent)dooglevoluna @ 2004-03-26 10:29 pm UTC |
What song do you like? Or do you want it to be a surprise?
(parent)dooglevoluna @ 2004-03-26 10:34 pm UTC |
It will be a song about stools. The first stools ever made, because it was a wonderous invention, and soon after everyone wanted a stool of their very own.
They are very useful things, stools.
dooglevoluna @ 2004-03-26 10:46 pm UTC |
It always makes me very grateful for stools. In a way they all look a lot alike and it's hard to choose between them, so I have decided to be fond of all stools equally.
(parent)dooglevoluna @ 2004-03-26 11:26 pm UTC |
Ginny, why does Evan keep saying "Double dare!" at me?
(parent)seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 10:42 pm UTC |
Well, my lovely lady, let me take you out for a spin. I always endeavour, when dancing, to make my partner look as desireable as possible. Once dance with me and all these other boys will be eating out of your hand, my darling.
If only certain other Gryffindors could understand this method to my madness . . .
divineparvati @ 2004-03-26 10:45 pm UTC |
Sounds like a Plan. If they slobber on My palms, though, I'm wiping it on Your shirt, as fabulous as It is.
(parent)seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 10:52 pm UTC |
Understood.
Right, let's dance over here near--Wait. Where did Harry go?
turpinol @ 2004-03-26 10:56 pm UTC |
To that from which he can never return. Solitary confinement.
(parent)seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 10:58 pm UTC |
Well, that was very silly of him. Now he's missing Dean!
(parent)divineparvati @ 2004-03-26 11:01 pm UTC |
I don't really get How spinning on one's head Is counted as a Dance move.
(parent)seamus_f @ 2004-03-26 11:04 pm UTC |
Parvati, darling, it's ghetto fabulous! It's masculinity turned in on itself!
It's also just really, really cool.
wheresmytoad @ 2004-03-26 11:08 pm UTC |
I'll say.
I suppose the dreadlocks help pad his brains . . .
wheresmytoad @ 2004-03-26 11:15 pm UTC |
That idea is even more of a stunner than Dean's dancing.
(parent)wheresmytoad @ 2004-03-26 11:09 pm UTC |
I don't think he'd even believe it if we tried to describe it to him.
