Draco Dormiens, indeed.
Dreadful, dreadful, all of these mishaps and Sibyll Trelawney never warned us in advance. What a surprise. I should think that if I were a 'Seer', I would warn children in advance when I knew they were going to be caught in duels and tangles with animals. Ah, but I suppose it is that she is a Sadist. Or perhaps she is just a fraud. Who would have thought?

I myself have always loved duels. The spur-of-the-moment duel between Mr. Weasley and Mr. Malfoy was inspired. Personally, I see nothing wrong with this duel. It was not, in fact, even in the corridors, where Mr. Filch has forbidden magic. Therefore I award thirteen points to Gryffindor for Mr. Weasley's running theme and thirteen to Slytherin for Mr. Malfoy's creativity. Tomatoes for ears, indeed. It takes me back.

Severus, Xiomara and I shared a recap of yesterday's events over our morning cigarettes this morning. Severus was simply livid over Mr. Longbottom's escaped Boggart. I myself thought it was rather charming. Who knew that Severus would look so graceful in a house dress? Alas, it was only Severus for a limited time; as soon as students started gathering it began turning into banshees and late homework papers in the blink of an eye. Fickle things, Boggarts. I even noticed it change into Mr. Potter.. very curious to know who that Boggart belonged to.

It never fails to irritate me when students take it upon themselves to dole out the guilt and punishment around here. Two of the older Weasley brothers often did this, and it was irksome each time. The staff and myself do not join in your Quidditch matches, so there is no reason that you should take the fun of guilt-trips from us. I am beginning to wonder if some Prefects are not taking themselves too seriously. I suppose that one day it will be time to let out the secret staff thoughts on Prefects, but today is not that day. However, given the fact that Ms. Abbott is a Prefect, I think that should give some idea of our sense of humour.

Thank you, Professor. I do pride myself on my creativity when it comes to hexing. Your eye is looking lovely today, by the way.

Draco Malfoy.

Mr. Malfoy, the art of subtle flattery has never been your strong suit. One point from Slytherin, and do try harder next time.
