I got a broom though it's clear to me you obviously can't afford it.
I'm afraid of rats. I suppose I should just confess to that. It's girly and stupid, but I'm afraid of rats. So when I saw a rat running down the corridor with a wand in its mouth the other night, I started yelling because it was a rat, not because I thought it was Peter Pettigrew. That part didn't occur to me until I'd already jumped onto a table and the rat was gone. If I weren't afraid of rats, I probably would have thought more clearly and the professors might have been able to catch him. They came pretty quickly when I started yelling, though, so I am not going to put myself through that sort of cycle of guilt.
Professor McGonagall and Professor Snape came and by that time I realised what must have happened, so Professor McGonagall used a voice enlarging charm and told everyone to go to the Great Hall, and then she left the prefects and me in charge of organising everyone, which made me rather nervous. This happened in my third year, when Professor Black broke in, and it was terrifying being ushered into the Great Hall. No one really slept at all, the other night.
Then I found this in my sleeping bag. What can I even say?
Yesterday I had to get a fifth year Slytherin down from a tree. Apparently the thought of her O.W.L.s was just too much.

I don't think you should feel guilty for anything at all. I thought you did splendidly, no thanks to Head Boy. If he doesn't even wish to unveil himself to help in such a crisis, can anyone say that he is doing his job? Honestly.
What an odd week this has been.

Well, he has changed his parchment to blue, which perhaps means that he is sad over the whole affair. Honestly, it used to be partly amusing, but now I am just annoyed that I am doing the work for two people.
At least Professor Lupin has come back, which is nice.
