Yesterday I cut off all my hair. I don't really know what possessed me to do so, but it seemed like a good idea. Padma took this picture which makes me look stupidly happy. It really isn't accurate but I like it, maybe because I look happier than I do in real life.
I think it's weird how you can sleep in a room with other girls and still feel like you're the only person in the whole castle. I can hear them breathing but I know they're all asleep. The castle seems different at night than it seems now. Now it seems like a completely different place than what it was last night when I was the only person awake. If that makes any sense. It probably doesn't.
I have a meeting with Professor Flitwick this afternoon to discuss my project. I'm trying to puzzle out a few advanced charms that you don't learn until the end of seventh year. Charms is usually my best subject, but some of these are really tough. Professor Flitwick said that if I keep showing signs of improvment, I might be able to start learning Apparation early on. Which would be keen, but it would be kind of weird being the only one with an Apparation Licence.
I guess I'll go look for Mandy and see if she wants to work on these with me.
