Current mood: okay

I'm feeling a little better today about Trevor. MY FRIENDS have been really nice about it...Hermione even slapped Malfoy today for making a cat's cradle out of frog guts. :D

That was brilliant!

And Lavender is starting up a new frog-saving club. I think I'll join. She wants me to become a vegetarian, too, but she wouldn't say why. I don't know if I want to do that, yet. :)

Bye for now, I have to revise.

Mr. Longbottom,

While it was unfortunate that your pet toad was mistaken for the one from the toad supply the students use for potions, it does not excuse the melodrama. Mr. Malfoy was simply burning the carcass, as is standard practice. There was no cat's cradle made from "toad guts," it is your overactive adolescent imagination.

I am quite certain that the Malfoy family will recompense you for your loss.

Good lord, are you STILL going on about the stupid toad? No one cares, Largebottom; they're all just being polite. It was a toad. It's not the sodding apocalypse. Get over it and end our misery. No one wants to hear about your warty little pets.

Mr. Longbottom: I want to express my sympathies for your loss. I have had words with Mr. Malfoy and Professor Snape about it, and Professor Lupin has taken points from Slytherin. I know this will not comfort you much, but I will personally keep a close eye on Mr. Malfoy in the future.

Ome word of advice when dealing with people such as this, however: having vulnerabilities leaves you open to them.

Thanks, Professor Black.

I will try to keep that in mind in the future.
