Reading that post made me really feel for Draco... I really hope Narcissa settles down and talks to him about all this or tries to help him- waa.

His parents don't. I don't think Lucius is in any position to care, and Narcissa is too blinded/over-whelmed/side-tracked to notice.

One question: If Arthur left him at Hogwarts, how did he get out again? I bet one of the students saw something. Or Mrs Norris.

I think he was missing yesterday.

I'm personally confused by the timeline also.

Draco is currently at Hogwarts. Earlier in the day he'd been wandering around London and went into the MoM office. Arthur drug him back to Hogwarts where is at now presumably holed up in his room not accepting visitors.

My $.02

It's hard to clarify because no one noticed he was gone.

Saturday morning - PS arrives at MM, has talk with parents, is later seen leaving with broom. (note, not on broom)

Saturday evening - Duel

Sunday - McGonagall posts, saying Draco is late to detention.

Sunday evening - Vector posts, saying Draco did not show up at all.

Monday - Arthur finds Draco at the Ministry and takes him back to Hogwarts.

Monday afternoon - Vector yells that Draco has been missing and Narcissa didn't care.

Monday evening - Draco is avoiding Slytherin Tower and his mother but is, indeed, at Hogwarts. It is a big castle. :)

I love Vector so much. I was hysterical through the whole thing, the situation is just so blackly comic. I kept imagining Narcissa dressing ickle Drakie-do up in girl's clothing like little Itty Bitty Vitty would wear. Her little strong-rooted nun.

Love the bit about Draco possibly "inadvertantly" hexing muggles on the streets. Inadvertantly, yeah.

Draco alone in London. I think Draco in that situation could honestly challenge Arthur Weasley in ability to knock himself unconcious somehow. I'm frankly surprised he made it to the Ministry to loaf around.

So I guess he's back at school now? Not accepting visitors? Can he even do that?

Can he even do that?

Does it even matter?

This is potterstinks we're talking about, after all.

LoL, I don't know if anyone is intent on visiting him right now anyway.

Heh. Go Vector-- am all hanging my head over my "Narcissa is trying omg!" trip as she seems to have seriously relapsed. On the other hand, all the "hah, you were DRUNK and UNINTELLIGIBLE!" stuff is kind of nasty, because wasn't Vector the one that was getting Narcissa snockered anyway?

narcisa will find draco. he is not your problem and he is much to young for you to have the hots for so deal. narcissa is takig care of it and just becuse you don't know where draco is does not mean that she does not know where shiny draco is.

<< *wibble* I think he needs some attention for his concussion. Shiny Draco? Oh dear, lol.

sarahtales @ April 28 2003, 12:27:19 UTC

Oh my GOD, Lucius called Draco 'shiny.' How pathetic is it of me to hope Draco sees that?
GOD KNOWS HE COULD USE THE AFFECTION.

I know! That was almost affectionate!

I'm trying to decide if he's being protective of Draco by saying "and he is much to young for you to have the hots for so deal" or if it's just a dig at Vector.

lore @ April 28 2003, 15:53:35 UTC Arithmantra's motives?

No, I'm sorry, that's it, I've had enough. I am convinced that Arithmantra is up to something nefarious.

Her concern for Draco has always been on this side of creepy to me. In the last two weeks, I've become convinced that she would like to adopt Draco or take him in, if only his pesky parents weren't in the way.

Now she's revealing in a very public post that Draco's mother wishes she'd had a Girl?? and reinforcing the idea that Narcissa did not bother to look for Draco for a full day. Draco already takes everything his mother says too personally. All this revelation, cloaked in innocent concern, will do is alienate Draco even further from Narcissa.

All part of Arithmantra's evil plot to replace Narcissa in Draco's heart? Time will tell....Muahaha!

love, lore

sistermagpie @ April 28 2003, 18:16:23 UTC Re: Arithmantra's motives?

I can combine two posts in one!

I was going to reply to mistful's post about Draco being shiny with the hope that Draco didn't read about Narcissa wanting a girl.

I think Vector's going along her usual path, with some good intentions but a lot of pride getting in the way. My theory on her is that she does want to help Draco but gets a little too into playing the role. She ends up doing stuff like this, where's she's so into scolding Narcissa she's insulting Draco, showing the same kind of disregard she's accusing Narcissa of. My instinct is that her slip of the tongue isn't exactly to turn Draco away from Narcissa but just promote herself. I think she enjoys her rants against the Malfoys (this one was just hysterical) and forgets about Draco's pov.
